What have you redone the most?
Graphics and character dialogue. >< The chibi look of VX didn't suit the tone of my project at all, and after seeing Itaju's amazing pixel work ( along with Dookie and Pizza ), I decided to make my own.
Nevertheless, a pain to do, but worth it.
Also, trying to get a coherent plot going with leaving the player scratching their heads. Medieval realpolitik is awfully hard to get right, so I'm doing a lot of research. Battle balancing too.
Basically, nearly every aspect of gam-mak sans mapping ( heh ).

Imma make a character. Make everyone love said character. Then kill said character in the most horrible way conceivable by me, ala George RR Martin.

Real development comes from breaking the characters to the point where they would wish they were dead, then watch them rise back up for better or worse.
That. So much. I sorta want to integrate it into my games.

Thanks, Addit. It means a lot, coming from you, since I love those Professor-Know-It-All articles. XD
And yeah, to echo what Liberty said. I love sharing progress and getting input because it really is a GREAT motivator to actually finish what you started. What's more, be responding, you're actually showing your players that you care about their input, so it creates that little connection between a developer and a player. At least, in my experience. You also build up a fan-base, for want of a better word. =)

What's up with all the people suddenly moving their projects to MV? I mean, it's not like VX Ace is going to become a shadow of the past that soon... Right?
Quite sure the features ( including the multi-platform support and much improved character generator ) got devs mouths watering. So you really can't blame them.
New Developer Mapping Help Thread
I have put up some mapping tutorials on this site already, but maybe because it's so out of the way, newbies will have a hard time finding them. XD I suppose we could have a Pinned topic for all the mapping tuts found on this site. I think its more likely to get Hits.
After all, the new level designers might either be too arrogant ( yes, we've had plenty of them here, some with the gall to charge people large amounts of money per map ) or daunted ( if you feel like this, go and read Addit's newest article now ) or a mix of either to post their stuff here, so they can just anonymously check out the tutorials. =)

Gaming Advice With Professor Know-It-All: B-But I Can’t Compete With That
I'll just say, 'Do what you love, and screw the haters.' XD More importantly, don't let anyone else shape your game's vision but yourself. Make a game for you, for moi! A game that you'll enjoy playing.

The Delicate Art of Murder: Suit up!
*le sigh* If only I were as good as thinking up battle mechanics like you, Red. A very interesting read and a well-thought out blog post. ^^

I do have to wonder why some devs even bother writing one paragraph affairs. They should save writing a post until they have something that will generate some form of interest for their game. Good blog content generates more replies, more profile views and even more subscribers. =)
Maybe I should write an article on writing good blog posts...
