As of now I'm playing AnimeBryan's levels for Level Showcases, and the thing is, the levels are hitting an odd zone for me that I may want to pay much closer attention to.
BTW, I attempted a recording of your Mini-Boss Factory, and the recording crapped out. 25 minutes. I will be blunt here: I really didn't like that level. :(
My main issues were that there was a lot of enemy spam(having enemies on spawners tends to do that) and the usage of bosses as 'normal enemies'(yes, I know, mini-boss factory. It does not excuse that, I don't even like reskinning miniboss enemies into normal enemies for Zelda-based levels.)
Also, you forgot to add a little bit before the level officially begins(as in, right behind player spawn) that keeps mushrooms from despawning offscreen - and thus, for this event, I'm adopting your rules. If the levels don't follow he guidelines, I won't complete them.

It's sad to say, while I enjoyed Barrel Volcano, you're already at two strikes with me, AnimeBryan. :(
You'll see what I mean when I get the video for Barrel Volcano up, but I will suggest something now: either keep mushrooms from falling in the lava or keep mushrooms from moving period, if that's allowed. There's a chance an error may appear, and it happened to me. I was not happy.

Assuming the video recording doesn't crash on me again like it did when I tried to do Mini-Boss Factory, Yoshi World Tour is up next for me, and I'll do your other two levels another day.

Sorry, AnimeBryan. I enjoy the way your levels look and for most levels other than Mini-Boss Factory I enjoy how they play, but minor oversights and an apparent "very hard is very fun" mindset is turning me away a bit. I'll get the videos uploaded in at least two hours.

Edit: I could only get one video up for now. Yoshi's World Tour tomorrow.

Col. Cryo's Cruelly Cold Cathedral by halibabica:

A part of me can't wait for when a bunch of levels get updated.
Another part feels like I'm crazy for wanting that. I can't mess with the settings of Hypercam 3 anymore, it's too unstable.

Anyways, hope you enjoy the video. I wish I could have done it blind proper, but so many recording problems. ;-;

There's a switch at the end of the first floor that floods the room so you can swim to the pipe in the ceiling.

I'll check out the video on my lunch break today.

EDIT: Good video! It looks like it was a pretty successful test. I'm glad you were able to handle Bowser Jr. in spite of the boss' difficulty. I noticed a few things I can tweak, too (like the 0 coins thing).

Oh, in that case I'll try the level again, because I swore I hit a switch and it did nothing, so yeah. .3.

And thanks! Glad to hear I helped! :D

Still trying inch by inch to get video quality for any future recordings to be better. In doing so, I've found that I fucked my ability to pause the video mid-recording as to skip unnecessary sections. That kinda sucks, because that made it so I didn't have to edit if I didn't want constant redundancy. With that pause feature, if I died in the recording, I could just skip to where I was.

Still, I tried out Radiant Rainbow Road last night/this morning and I've learned a few bad things: don't record past 12 in the morning and don't take random people's advice for PERFECT SETTINGS on your recording program(it ended up bluescreening my computer ._. ). I was frustrated and tired with the recording, not even the level itself, and by the end of it I couldn't even finish the video. I only got up to the point of the spikes, which I highly suggest to Ratty:
Change them to normal spikes. Don't put that spike graphic over Chompers.
Seriously.
Spikes don't hurt you from the side. ._.

At one point when recording the level, I thought the game fucked up because I was on a Yoshi holding a disco shell in my mouth(which he blatantly hands me a lot throughout the stage, so it'd seem he intends you to use the Yoshi to get through the level, which makes sense, because Yoshi is in the title of the game itself .3.), and I got hit by a Bullet Bill. When this happened, the platform fell, and it LOOKED like I fell into the spikes and got crushed.
No, they were just Chompers, and they can hurt you from the side.
._.

Still, I do like the level(beyond that part, and as much of it as I could play before I had to go to bed), I was just frustrated/tired by the recording software I was using itself.

Yes, Cryo's Cathedral is a finished stage. Where did you get stuck?

Also, I'd like to watch that video, but it's flagged as private.

Well. I got stuck in the second section. Couldn't tell where to go, and any pipes that could lead anywhere were either blocked off supposedly(only accessible from the next section as I found out) or I just couldn't reach them without a leaf/tanooki. I'm assuming there's a switch that reveals a platform leading up to that pipe going to section 3, right?

Also, I made sure to un-private the video. Sorry about that. .3.

Now that I'm in a better recording situation(best I can be in right now) and have a good recording program that doesn't lag like shit, I'm gonna see about playing a few levels. Depends on when I have time, obviously, but hey, more feedback on levels.
Assuming I can finish them. I'm also doing it because it should be fun, so yeah. .3. This also just proves if I suck at SMBX or not. I need a proper controller, lol.

Edit: On another note - I attempted a recording of Col. Cryo's Cruelly Cold Cathedral, and it was an utter failure of a recording. I do want to mention that in the attempt at recording it, I found a point where you could zip in the very beginning of the level(ontop of the cathedral, the black blocks - it's a one block hole that if you're big, you can zip one in to get the goodie inside). I feel kind of dumb about that level, but I'm just gonna ask for future reference: is it a finished level? .3.

pyrodoom's A Cheesy Level (W9):

"51 mushrooms"
The second I heard your "WTF" reactions, I knew immediately what you saw - you always seem to have the debugger open. How come you don't look at it that often? .3.
Seriously, it was a humorous reaction, but to be honest, most of the issues I heard from here were oversights on my end, which is still bad, but they were also very minor.

I thought putting the Toad/Agent Toad(I have the graphics pack for the game in my folder, and while the checkpoint and end goal appears, my toad isn't different. Weird.) on Random got it to face you no matter what direction you talked to it from. Maybe I accidentally set it to Right? IDK.
Notably, I usually put everything on Random, which is also notable when considering enemies that don't turn on cliff-edges, meaning sometimes they'll fall, other times they walk away from the cliff. I don't know why I do this, it just feels right. However, it's obvious that isn't a smart idea, because carrying it over into this project, it's lead to A LOT of issues with animation.
Given the issues I had with my other two levels, I'm surprised I didn't make sure the checkpoint and goals were facing properly here. Shit.

With the section around the switch blocks... oh boy.
OK, before that, the alcove with nothing in it? It was originally going to hold a leaf, I think, before I put in the mindset that you should be able to finish the level without hitting the cheesy ground(which DID include bouncing off of enemies heads. .3. ), which would have been impossible there based on how I designed it. It was better to remove it than to try and completely bend the gimmick to the will of Mario's insatiable love for power-ups. Guess I never really bothered removing it.
And... finally, the switch blocks. First off, given I actually haven't beaten SMW(I really need to, but I was always a Sonic guy before Mario, and I fucking suck at Mario World), I didn't KNOW about the mushroom block thing completely. I knew switch blocks held some power-ups and I THOUGHT the yellow switches held mushrooms, but I wanted to be dang sure before I tried to do it. Originally there was a space off to the side that you could have gotten under(say, you had a leaf or a flying Yoshi) just to hit all the blocks because WHY NOT, you can, but I removed that after removing the ratty that would have acted as an obstacle to that small section.
That part of the level was the hardest to work on. I feel like there's an easy way around it, but seriously, it's a PAIN IN THE ASS. At first, I was worried about Luigi, but even afterward, acknowledging I shouldn't design around Luigi having a higher jump than Mario, I still had issues with that section because of the damn flower. It's meant to be a mini-puzzle where you press the switch to go across and continue the level, but you also do it so that you can reach the flower. Of course, like Animebryan loves doing, you can just fly for it, but the point is to hit the switch. I still need to adjust the placement of a few things there so that Mario can't reach it without hitting the switch.
Also, what the FUCK is wrong with SMW Koopas?! Just... just why. ;-; Maybe I'll just put a Koopa spawner there specifically so you can rack up lives, as it is also technically a bonus room, because otherwise they will all despawn and you get nothing. :(

A Balance Question for Everyone

Accidents could happen, and I wouldn't like to have to commit suicide in a level just to get the chance at a checkpoint if I don't want flower mode. Lives are easy enough to come by, but it just sucks to lose out on it.
However, to get a yoshi for it? That's nice. :3

Personally, unless I could find a way to keep my yoshi when I kill myself to not have Flower Mode on because I accidentally hit the switch, just keep the yoshi out of the block and allow the block to be hit multiple times, just in case.

@AnimeBryan

Yeah, nothing about that video was doing good, btw. I couldn't even reply to your comment for... some reason.
"Alright.
It was quite a bitch to get Bandicam, though. .3.
Think Camstudio is good? Have you heard of that one?

The lag is potentially just a result of me running the recording program at the same time as SMBX. I would have checked the 'max fps' box as well, but I'm not sure that would've been a good idea. Probably would have made things more skippy and stuff, because the game would be running faster than what was being recorded, you know? Kind of like how when people recorded the classic Sonic games, the shield usually looked freaking weird.

Yeah, I don't have a good recording set-up for voice stuff, and while voice wasn't necessary, I know you did commentary as well and I always felt commentary made things more interesting. Given the amount of trouble I had when just going through editing in general, the video's audio quality was GOING to be shit no matter what, sadly.

I tried to edit the sound quality using audacity to remove the background noise the best I could. Probably another reason the audio came out so shit. .3.

Still, the point of the video was to show how I played my own level, I'm just bothered by the amount of BS that went into everything about the video. What editor do you use, or do you just upload the recording directly after recording, with no editing?"
This is what I was going to say in the reply.

Here we go. It's certainly...
something. ._.

On that note, anyone know of a good, free editing program?
I couldn't find any versions of Windows Movie Maker that would work properly on my computer. I thought that was a free program, but it wasn't automatically installed, nor did any version of it actually work properly on my computer. Just to get the editing done and made into a video, I had to record what I had with my recording program directly off of the barely-working Windows Movie Maker.
If that doesn't make ANY sense: Windows Movie Maker didn't work, anything else out there that's good?

@pyrodoom: Wow, is your computer really that bad? I've never heard of the Recording Curse but it sounds like simply the recording program is too taxing on the CPU or RAM Memory.

Nah, it's not like that. I was just mentioning it because I thought it'd be interesting to note. Basically, when you're recording something, anything can go wrong, even coming down to your gameplay.

Guess there wasn't really a need in me mentioning it in that case.
Hm. Well. ._.

Anyways, what recording program do you use again?
