Interesting concept. Looks okay. Not great. I don't really care.
I don't like the music though. Way too quiet. I wasn't sure it was working at first. Boring.
Level design is good though. At least I think so.
Needs secret areas. Make some of those pipes go somewhere. Just remember you can't take the player backwards, or they'll die or something. Maybe the game crashes. I think they just die.
Boos in a grassland. Interesting. Not bad though. They seem to fit in nicely now that the color is gone.
It would be awesome if you had something really weird and disturbing right in the middle of the level.
I thought the music would fit, it seems pretty strange and creepy. I heard from someone, that it sounded like you were listening to your own funeral, from inside your coffin.
I kind of find it shocking that the level itself to you isn't that creepy. Let's think about it for a second. You die and the sprite becomes black and white, symbolizing that the character is now part of Eli's Sketchbook forever(kind of...it's just symbolizing, I guess that isn't really that creepy), and why do you think I added the Boos? Still, have any ideas on this, because I really don't know.
Also, for secrets area, I think my problem deals with the fact that I didn't have any cave pencil drawings in there. I would have to make my own with Paint.Net which I found was very tedious, or I would have to ask someone. Which is easier, the tedious one, or the one that makes you wait so long that you can't make the level finished?
Sorry if this sounds rude, I wasn't meaning too, the level was apparently accepted by one person, and I guess I didn't expect this. I was aiming to make a creepy, strange level, and I guess I messed up...

Can minibosses be at the end of a stage?from the event page
4. Bosses
Boss stages will be handled by the judges. You may still use boss NPCs in your stages, but only as mini-bosses. The fights must be kept simple and easier, so don't go overboard.
May I call a boss? Or is it only the judges thing.
If I call a boss, I say World 6. Hint: It will be in my level Crisis City, but will not be Iblis, obviously.
Edit:By the way, I brought back Metal Harbor. Not much change on it though. I made it look a bit better by using blocks with...I dare say...auto-align off! I also made it so you just don't jump into nothing. I also added a Lakitu to section to so it would be more interesting.

... Okay I'll go with that answer Hali!
Anyway.
Eli's Notebook by Pyrodoom
Pros:
+ Challenging yoshi coins
+ Platforming is fun and suitable for world 1
Cons:
- EWW its that ugly "sketchbook" tileset from the pack. In my opinion it looks pretty horrible.
- To add on, some of the graphics are obscured due to how bright everything looks, making some enemies seem like they appear out of nowhere, but this is minor.
- Not quite sure about putting boos in a world 1 level.
I would have added in the cons list that the music was irritating, but I think it was too much of a matter of taste. Your level flowed pretty well overall, though it MAY be a little too hard for World 1 mainly because of the boos. That's about it.
I wouldn't say it's that hard. I suck at games, and it was pretty easy. And plus, it's quite short so if difficulty is an issue, at least it won't take too long to get through.
I love the fact that yours cons are more of nitpicks than anything, something I can't change without messing with the level too much. Sorry if the graphics didn't look good? Want me to add blue lines and holes to make it seem more like paper? I can't. Seriously, it would stretch. So I guess that wouldn't work. :(
But yeah, that wasn't much of a problem. Also, Boos are there to make it seem creepier than normal. The music is to make it sound weird. It's the World of Drawcia from Kirby Canvas Curse, and I don't like the song either. I tried ignoring it while making the level, why do you think the level is so short?
Also, I thought we weren't allowed to use bosses, unless it's a miniboss? Can minibosses be at the end of a stage?

Thematic resprites of Dragon Coins are allowed, but we don't have a definite design for our RMN Coins yet. If you make the same changes to regular Dragon Coins, we'll adjust it in the finished project.
Are you going to resubmit Metal Harbor, or is it officially withdrawn?
I don't know. I'll check to see if I can fix it again before I finally say "Screw this."

I made Eli's Sketchbook.
I was going to ask if I could change the character sprites to be black and white, but I thought that I shouldn't ask, and just keep them the way they are. Sadly though, I haven't tested the level with all characters yet. I have a feeling it's good though.
Seeing as the tileset was based off of if someone drew the game with pencils, everything being black and white made sense with the story of Eli showing Mario and his friends an art gallery. I kind of made this to fit in. It's a world 1 stage as you can see, and it deals with something I like to call sameness. I wanted the Boos to always look sad, even if they are looking at you, but I didn't feel like doing it. I also wanted to change the color of the Yoshi Coins, then remember that the coins will be replaced anyway, so what was the point? So, Hali, if I have asked anything for you, it will be this. When you make the sprites for the Yoshi Coins, will you make a black and white one specifically for Eli's Sketchbook if it's a good enough level to get in?
BTW, thanks for changing the level submission easier on us me because I thought I probably wouldn't be able to submit E.S.

I revised my level Oil Osasis, fixed the graphics problem, took out the 3 moon from the second normal section, I added coins to the skull raft sections, and changed the place of the checkpoint and star. I also took out the first podoboo.

Submitted my fourth entry: Mario's Dreamland. It's a throwback to Kirby's Dreamland with a few twists to make it more of a Mario level.
On the subject of playthroughs, the only level I have played today was Pyrodoom's Oil Oasis. Other than the missing graphics folder, the level is pretty solid. Because the sections with the podoboos and skull rafts, however, I would not label it as a world 2 level. I'd say it's around 4-6. If you still want to make it world 2, I recommend toning down the amount of enemies you have on the screen, particularly with the skull raft sections.
Thanks dude, can we just change it from 2 to 4 without me changing the .zip file name, seeing as that's kind of pointless just to change the name. I fixed the level folder.

...I may want to wait...you know, take my mind off of shitty games like Sonic 06, so no Crisis City for now.
I want to do a creepy, trippy level... >:3

author=Ratty524I needed space for my level, even though I had it zipped. Trust me, if the file is that big, yet the level didn't lag my computer, I'm expecting at least a good review. Even if it tells me to fix a few things, I think I put alot of work into this one stage. :3
Wait a minute what happened to your Metal Harbor stage?
I just got ninja'd...and what the fuck. The LEVEL FILE was that fucking big? I won't be able to even get the .Zip to get in this! :(
