I wonder if ACE actually has the ability to dynamically change enemy battle sprites? Honestly, more than VA or FMV, the ability to show battle damage to enemies during battles would be on my #1 most requested list XD

OMGOMGOMG! I'm one of the rare few that thoroughly enjoyed MQ (though admittedly in large part due to the awesome music and that it was my 2nd ever FF title, after FF1 on the NES) so I am beyond super psyched to see an updated remaster/remake ^_^

Just checked out the gameplay vids and heard the awesome "original" music :D Fantastic stuff, I'm really FF nerdgasming here, haha. I did notice one downside, though I'd say that was an engine downside more than anything, and that's enemies don't show battle damage. I was always disappointed that subsequent enemies in the FF series didn't have battle damage like they did in FFMQ. I guess even something as oft-hated as MQ got something right :D

Eden Gate

In the end I dropped back to 1.0.0 just so I could finish it and I'm absolutely gutted it's over! The start of the game was, in my unlucky case, painful.. almost never hitting the enemy made for a frustrating time with ranged weapons. Finding another melee weapon eased the game immensely, allowing me to farm for a short while and earn enough points to increase Wield and make ranged combat more fun.
I finished all three chapters at around the 7hr mark and I've got to say; based even on this "small" demo, this is by far one of my absolute favourite RM titles I've played to date - it's up there with The Way, To The Moon, The Longing Ribbon, Starless Umbra and A Blurred Line (damn you lysander for not finishing it!! :P) I simply cannot wait for more chapters and content, I can't wait to get back into it some more. The audio is excellent, though I must admit I kept wanting to shout "Mounted!" all the time, even though the Freelancer effects really fit with the overall tone of SD. I'm loving the combat system (with Wield 3!) and the visuals are excellent, it really is quite astounding what RPGXP can produce in talented hands, though the UI - while ingenious and gorgeous - is sometimes clunky to control via the keyboard. It screams for mouse control. Other than that, I really don't have any other significant complaints or worries.
Thank you Gibmaker, the game is great and I'm eagerly awaiting more <3

Arghhh!
"Unable to find file Graphics/Characters/Players/Derichard/AFlinchFlinch.png"
"Unable to find file Graphics/Characters/Players/Cambridge/CFlinchFlinch.png"
This has only been happening since 1.0.2. I presume the Flinch animation is going to be mislabelled like this for all the characters.

I think something went very, very wrong with 1.0.2 update, Gibmaker. All the animation files are broken - or the database that calls them - as now I'm getting a lot of random errors like above in combat, such as;
"Unable to find file Graphics/Characters/Players/Derichard/AClubClub.png"
I certainly hope I still have 1.0 downloaded somewhere :(
