SBETHUNE81'S PROFILE
Hello! I'm the 6th-8th grade math and science teacher at a small K-8 school in the Sierras. I recently moved to Oakhurst, California, about 30 minutes outside of Yosemite, with my wife and 16 month old son. Before that, I worked as a 5th grade teacher in San Jose. I love designing and playing video games and cooperative board games. My favorite parts of RPG making are writing and eventing. When I'm not doing that, I like to run, bike, and play volleyball. There is never enough volleyball.

I always appreciate players finding and reporting bugs. Thank you, ryan7251. Nice progress in the game too.

No worries at all. If you ever get stuck on one, I'm happy to help. Well done on defeating the first two by the way.

Thank you for the feedback. I used a basic difficulty script from the KGC script package, but I didn't customize it as much as I should have. I would stick with the normal or easy difficulty depending on how challenging you are finding it. My main purpose for including the script was to get an easier version. I didn't really care about the harder settings.
It would be impossible to fight the mimic without the ability you need. The creature isn't available until after the first boss, and you'd get enough experience from the boss to level up and get the ability. The notice board for the 2nd creature does give a hint. I meant for players to puzzle over them, and if you find yourself unable to do anything to it, you can always flee and return later. There are no missables in this game.
Thanks again for the feedback. Let me know if you have any other comments or questions.

Hi ryan7251. Thanks for trying out Manifest! Higher level difficulties raise the stats by 20% each level along with the exp/Etherum gain. The easy setting lowers all enemy stats to 80% of the originals, but enemies only give 80% of the exp/Etherum as a result. In hindsight, I wish I had just made the easy mode still give 100% of the reward, and I might change that eventually. My recommendation, if the difficulty is a problem, is to lower it to easy only on the bosses, since they pose the most problems for players. That way you don't miss out on much of the exp from the dungeons.
You should definitely feel smart about that chest. Very few people that I know of have gotten that before those chests are explained and before they get to know Vellamik better. Nice job!
Hope to hear back from you again as you progress.

How did your first game turn out?
I'm happy with the way it turned out. I think it got better as I went, particularly the mapping.

@EdgeOfChaos - Thank you for helping out.
@Demintika - Thanks for playing Manifest. Each of the notice board hunts gives you hints within the notice board message and by speaking to the person that posted the message. It will eliminate the need to guess for the most part.

Remember your "Dream Game?" How did that turn out?
I started conceptualizing my dream game back in college, about 15 years ago. I played around with a world map on rpg maker 2000, but I never put in any serious effort with the engine. In 2008 I saw a trailer for a game created with XP, and I became determined to make my game. VX had just come out, so I picked up a copy, grabbed a few notebooks, and spent the next several years plugging away at it. I finished Manifest in late 2011, and I'm very happy with the way it turned out.
