Favorite RPGmaker game?
I always really enjoyed Wilfred the Hero. The art stuck out really well and the combat was exciting. It really nailed a quirky, oddball story about frogs and a bunny and a hero... like an RPG Maker Earthbound.
Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!
I'm making a fishing game! I found out about a game jam called FuckThisJam where the challenge is to spend a week making a game in a genre you hate.
I came up with really fun fishing/catching controls, but I'm not sure what direction to take the game now...

Presidential elections
author=harmonic
You know, this is absolutely going to come back to bite Democrats in the ass in the future. We're going to blame Obama for everything, even 4-8 years after he's no longer president. It's only fair.
This seems unlikely, as the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office has predicted that on our current path, we will suffer a small recession next year, but a large economic recovery over the next decade.
Choices For Deficit Reduction
Of course, maybe Obama will take the blame for it anyway. The next guy in line is going to be a lucky sonuvabitch.
Presidential elections
For anyone deeply interested in the current budget crisis, you can read November's report from the Congressional Budget Office here.
Some key points:
I believe the laws referred to are the ones we call the Bush Tax Cuts, as well as some of Obama's tax deal signed in 2010, but that's only my speculation; I do know those are due to expire very soon.
Still, what this means is that a short-term recession does not mean the inevitable end of our country. It may merely mean we are taking our time to invest in the future and guarantee our safety, a tradeoff that may lead to some short-term suffering but solidify our successes later.
Some key points:
- Federal debt held by the public currently exceeds 70 percent of the nation’s annual output (gross domestic product, or GDP), a percentage not seen since 1950. Under the current-law assumptions embodied in CBO’s baseline projections, the budget deficit would shrink markedly—from nearly $1.1 trillion in fiscal year 2012 to about $200 billion in 2022—and debt would decline to 58 percent of GDP in 2022.
- Very few of the policy changes that CBO has examined in the past are large enough, by themselves, to accomplish a sizable portion of the deficit reduction necessary to put the budget on a more sustainable path. In addition, many of the options that would have a substantial budgetary impact would require large numbers of people to pay more in taxes or receive less in government benefits or services.
- Lawmakers face difficult trade-offs in deciding how quickly to implement policies to reduce budget deficits. For example, CBO projects that the significant tax increases and spending cuts that are due to occur in January will probably cause the economy to fall back into a recession next year, but they will make the economy stronger later in the decade and beyond. In contrast, continuing current policies would lead to faster economic growth in the near term but a weaker economy in later years.

Side view battles: any real point?
author=Mr_Detective
So if I use the default front view system, my game will suck ? :|
Not at all! The classic Dragon Quest games as well as similar hits like Earthbound use front-view character-less battles. Being able to see characters in battle is a great and easy way to establish a connection between them and the player, but not the only way. You may just have to work harder and get a little creative to make up for the lack of immediate, obvious visuals.

I suppose it would do no good to bring up the idea of financial inflation, which that graph does not appear to be adjusted for, and vastly skews the graph to make it seem like we're spending a relatively abysmal amount.
Or that over 50% of our national debt is local, owed by either citizens of the U.S. or the government itself, to other subsidiaries of our own government.
China itself only owes us a little more than 1 trillion of that. One second, I will return with a source.

Quick & dirty summary: The United States federal government owns about $5 trillion of it's own debt. United States citizens and businesses own about $4.9 trillion dollars of the debt, and foreign states own about $4.1 trillion (as of January 2011). As of today, China owns $1.3 trillion.

I'm pointing out the irony of you claiming we're putting words in your mouth, after you spent three pages doing the same to everyone else.
Way to go, you ruined the joke, thanks a lot.
I don't think anyone is expecting you to admit you're wrong, harmonic, but it would be nice if it actually inspired you to do some political research, because many of your claims are unfounded or misguided, and many are just mud-slinging.

Limited capitalism is not socialism. Our government was born from limited capitalism, found great power and success under limited capitalism, and no legitimate candidate wants us to switch from limited capitalism to any other economic system.
Socialism involves government-owned and distributed businesses and economies based on need. In that regard, it is so far removed from either of the main parties today it isn't even a factor. Romney and Obama's economic differences are negligible compared to socialism, and to claim that Obama is even remotely close to socialism is to display true ignorance of politics, and is merely repeating rhetoric from the late 18th century when anti-slavery proponents were labeled "socialists".
If you're going to make claims like "we're switching to socialism so our country is fucked", you might try and make it a little more believable.
Oh, also I found this picture

Twisting my words, changing their meaning to fit your argument. Ignoring context. Attempting to "gotcha" me, failing miserably.
It would be really embarrassing to do that...right?

Yep, everything is the Republicans' fault, nothing is Obama's fault. :)

Do you think Democrats are perfect? Politicians are human, just like everyone else. Yes, even Barack Obama is human.
