Developing and designing games, and everything that goes with: Storywriting, programming, designing grafics and other contents... it has always been a fascinating passion for me. <3 I'd love to work as an actual game designer.
I first came into touch with enterbrains RPG-Maker a few years ago. And since then I've stumbled upon many different engines and other "makers" but the RPG-Maker seemed to always pop up again. So I started my first "serious" project, entitled "Numina" with it.

Numina
Step through the 4th wall… into the world of NUMINA! An exciting adventure that fuses many classic RPG aspects, a character-driven story with player choices, a dynamic battle system, puzzles and towns

Hmm... sounds good and the screenshots look good... but the synopsis you posted is a bit confusing because you seemed to have taken an abrupt jump in para 2...
... or is it just me?
Thanks! Regarding the paragraph: It's just that I don't want to spoil the things that go worse ;)
Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!
Looks nice. Although the charsets do stand out.
Guess I won't be getting Ace, I absolutely hated the mapping-system in the demo

The Screenshot Topic Returns

From my project Numina, where the first scenes of the game take place. And although it looks quiet and peaceful, some really bad things are going to happen here

@Archeia_Nessiah Looks neat!
I just finished the Multilanguage-Script for my RMXP-Game Numina Dx it wasn't that hard actually, but a long-hidden bug surfaced and I thought it had something to do with my script.
Next thing on the list: drawing some more facesets! =)

Coming up with a story as you go
I started like this but you throw away a lot of potential like this if you don't want to go back again later and adjust specific details, e.g. for foreshadowing. Sometimes coming up with things as you go can induce plotholes, when you navigated yourself into an impasse. BUT i think it's more important to write your current story down, wether you figure it out as you go, or if you already wrote it.
Who cares about credits?
I agree with Liberty.
I've done some sort of a skippable creditroll at the end of my project Numina. Listing all the people involved in the game. But instead of a solid black background, I display the credits on a map.

Gay Characters
It really depends on how the character is introduced and handled (by the storywriter) and so on, but that goes for almost everything, not just homosexual characters.
In a very early draft of my own project I've had someone in the cast whose sexual preference was a little bit ambiguous, due to some hints. But I never really cared to put out something of an "official statement" about it. It was clear to me, that this character is gay, but I never really cared about explicitly stating it in the game like: "Have I mentioned that I'm gay today?". I've played a little bit with ambiguity, but I did that in order to raise interest about the past of this very character.
The reaction I got from it made me really think about the subject itself. Other users from the community (not this one ;) ) asked me if the character was actually gay and if I'm nuts about including a male gay character into the main cast - since younger people would have access to the game and so on, blah blah.
Since then I have the feeling that when it comes to gay characters, they're easily reduced to their sexuality. I mean if you really care about your characters and make an effort to flesh them out, their sexuality is just a very little part of the whole image. In most games it wouldn't even play a role (but sometimes, like in my project, it does, because of the romantic relationships involved ^^)

Oh, I guess it's a great way to learn some Deutsch, nicht wahr? ;)
No worries! I'll already planned on doing an English version of it. And I'll present the project around here very soon.
Thanks!

Looking for an artist (coloring)
Hi guys,
I'm desperately looking for someone who would colorize my faceset outlines. I've tried it by myself and I'm not very satisfied with the results ;)
The faces are for my RMXP project entitled Numina, I released a new trailer about a month ago => Numina New Year's Trailer. If you want more information on the project itself, feel free to ask!
I'm not sure about the style I want the faces to be colored in, so it would be very helpful, if you could provide me some examples, from works you've done. I've added an example here:
