So, you play MMO's?

I used to play SWMud a lot when I was younger. I normally hate text based games, but that game was pretty well made.

Resource Museum

Well I didn't mean that it needed to be a big organized section, I think that just putting in separate forums for different things would help to make it more navigable. If that's not possible, I may take on re-organizing the resource museum into separate posts all in the same forum. (I'm a compulsively organized person IRL)

World Maps

Do you have any reasoning? Everyone else has brought up some reasons...

Thanks for all of the input guys, all of these things make it so hard to decide...

I think the general consensus is that whatever you decide, have a purpose for it. Don't make a game without a world map just to be different, and don't include one just for nostalgia. If your game is meant to be more exploratory I'd say go for it.

@Chana

@tpasmall
Thanks for your reply.
And what you said makes sense,
but think of it this way.
How can some one, unskilled, such as me. help people who are skilled useing RPG maker
like think about it. Beta testing sure! that makes sense. but there not gunna help me if there busy making a game or Improving on there game are they, Unlikely.

2nd, Ive been useing rpg maker for the past Couple Months now i may not know much but no one ever does when the first start using a programme.*Off-topic* So people being so "Ass-holeish" to the "noobs" Really irritates me.*on-Topic*
And i am Improving my skills, Im trying to learn to sprite, i can draw on pen & paper & i have done drawings on the computer & i do have a pen & Tablet so i could do that as well as do more with events & look at tuts Which is what ive been doing mind you

And i have already PMed him. He Already got a reply on the topic so i thought instead of asking for help on his topic i might as well inbox him, More likely to check it out.

So Any other way of getting help? that doesn't require being Very knowledgeable in Rpgmaker??

I just started in RPG Maker in August too, I know the feeling, but the best thing you can do is just keeping messing around with it. Search the internet for tutorials. Beta testing other peoples games will give you an opportunity to see how they put things together. Take a look at their code, their eventing. Copy what you like and change it to fit your games. I realize that the older RM programs are harder to use then VX (which is what I'm starting on), but the best way to learn is trial and error.

I think some of the 'pixel noise' on the path edges could be fixed if you hold the shift key while you're placing certain tiles. It cleans up auto tiles instead of having those borders.

Probably the better thing to do is ask if you can help out with someone else's game. Offer to do beta testing for other peoples games and advance your skills and make some connections that way. Almost no one is going to offer to be your employee especially when you're relatively unskilled. Do what you can for other people first and I'm sure they'll reciprocate.

Also, I think this guy might be of some help: http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/9412/

Also, I don't know if these would be useful to you or if you have seen them, but LastDecca made a ton of Humanoid-Animal Sprites:

Nice, i have some sprite made already, but are a little drastic because they have no shade or shadows etc... you can see my sprites here:

http://rpgmaker.net/games/3439/cwcharacters/

Would you take the request to detail my sprites?

I can try, ha. I've never really worked with major details like that for rmvx sprites since I use generators, but I do have some experience with shading and shadows for civilization III sprites so I'll give it a shot.

Yeah, I'm not a fan at all. Especially using a sideview battle script. XP had some good ones, it seems like a lot of the good stuff from XP was taken out for VX.
