Lol, that has to be the most unique compliment I've gotten, thanks. I've gotten enough negative comments (some of which were constructive and helped me improve things) about it to make me think it's a love-it-or-hate-it thing, so I'm not too upset when people say they don't like it though.
The Paper Knight Rises + Paper Knight Begins
For several reasons, I don't have plans for a pre-release demo. However, a play through of the first chunk of the game will be made so that you'll be able to see all of the early portion of the game.

The wood used in the house... it has these wavy lines, which I agree - add a good effect, but seem a bit strange...
Oh, I see. It's actually a halftone pattern, but because most of the graphics are undergo zooming (since this game has perspective) you'll see some weird patterns like that. The house in the front right and the one in the back left have the same pattern, but because of the zooming, they look different.

Right now, most of the mechanics are based on Paper Mario's system, but as the PKS develops into it's own thing you'll see new additions and twists to the formula.

@Clareain_Christopher thanks, hopefully it'll work out to where people choose their team based on preference, and not just 1 apostropha being so good that everyboyd uses it.
@TheRexion Paper Knight's Story comes from an alternate universe in which the typical amateur jrpg is inspired by Paper Mario, not Final Fantasy. In other words, yes ;)

I probably should've posted this too:
-"Flipping" is when you guard an attack by pressing "C" right as it hits.
-"A "Super Flip" happens with precise timing
-Right now there's a 15 frame window to perform a "Defense Flip." I want it to be easy, but that window might be reduced.
-A successful "Attack Fold" can result in increased damage or multiple hits. Failures can result in reduced damage or not attacking at all as you see in one point in the video.
