Super Mario RPG: The Starlite Worlds
The file must have been recently hacked because it's been fine for months before this. It should not have been an exe file.
Because of this, we are reuploading it to a different host, I don't really trust sendspace right now.
How annoying. Hopefully this happened recently and not too many people were affected. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I wonder if it's a bit to zoomed out? It just seems like there's too much space in the window.
We kind of felt that way with our Mario game on RMXP, so we ended up making everything 1.5x larger. Especially since your game looks somewhat like Mother 3/Pokemon Gen 3 (both of which were on the small screened GBA) it comes off as little jarring.
But I guess that doesn't really matter, heh.

Hmmm... maybe you should try a different font? It seems too casual for something as important sound as "Sacred Mana."

Played and finished the demo.
The production values truly are top notch, from the menus to the tilesets. I don't know if the tiles are from the FF remakes or another game altogether, but I haven't seen them before and they look nice.
Battle seemed pretty straightforward in terms of replicating a FF experience. I'll admit I never got past the intro in any of the 2D FFs... and haven't personally played any of the 3D ones but from what I've seen of what friends have played it seems to fit pretty well.
The only gripes I have are with the dialog, mainly that of the main character. Sometimes I felt there was a bit too much talking with static character sets and the Main Character went from cursing his father and the events that had happened to seconds later saying "Woo-hoo" like a plumber as he flew away on an airship. That could just be his personality, but it felt a bit off to me.
Anyway, keep up the good work.

Demo!
Played it. Quite an interesting project.
I managed not to die in any battle, but I did use a lot of items. I probably should've read this post first because cdivision and I were like "why is this so hard/ is something wrong?" I ended up skipping a lot of text in the intro (sorry), so if there was an explanation about how the battle worked I might've missed. it
That script that shows the monsters on the mini-map is an amazing feature; it reminds me of Etrian Odyssey. Keep up the good work, I think your battle system can evolve into something amazing.
