I'm 20 and I look like I am 14.

oh dear :(
uh i dont think its actually a 'deficiency' of sorts, i'm not really sure what it is.
i just overheard a girl once complaining about it, and how she was always mistaken for a child when she was actually 17.
I used to go to school with a guy who was 20-ish but looked about 12. He wasn't just small, he really looked like a kid. I never asked him about it because I'm sure he was probably sick of explaining it by that point in his life, but he also always had a reasonably attractive lady on his arm so it apparently didn't affect his love life too much :D
On a more encouraging note:
Some masculine features like muscle and facial hair growth can continue for years after puberty "ends", hell I'm 25 and I still see my beard getting a little thicker every few months (I am ready for that to stop though tbh shaving is a bit of a pain for us lazy guys). Once my dad told me that he couldn't even grow a full beard until he was in his 30s or something :x
Also, biological research has uncovered many possible links between delayed physical development and longevity so you should probably just count your blessings, wait it out for a few years and see what happens :P not that you really have any other option.
Sounds like you're trying to make the best of it which is really all you can do in any case.
What are you working on now?

you're spriting characters/monsters. you have it easy sir.
i am scratch pixeling full interface design.
as for content: I took a "break" today and converted my engine's window setup and input handling code over to SDL since it works awesomely with all of the OpenGL crap I've written already, will let me add audio and gamepad support without too much agony, and will make porting easier if I ever decide to. I've never touched SDL before today, but apparently it's pretty easy to work with. Oooooooh boy!
LegacySicon joins you all, Heya guys
Hellew, and I rather liked the spastic action in your video :p I think what's going on in it will become clearer as we learn more about your combat mechanics and such.
Flash as an engine
What are you working on now?
Finishing up some general purpose GUI routines for my engine so I can make the map editor and go back to making tilesets for the actual demo. I should have finished this part about a week ago but I've been procrastinating because it's the most boring part of the project I've worked on so far :p
My last chance, it would seem (reinstatement attempt)...

Seriously AFD, if you didn't want to be known as someone who makes dumb topics and replies to criticism with the most disappointing, uninspired comeback posts imaginable then you made a very long series of very poor choices. Adding "whiny bitch" to the list isn't going to help your case. Be a trooper!
Side Scroller online?
"It won't be easy" isn't a very good argument against any engine or tool because online multiplayer games in general aren't known to be easy to make.
GM's multiplayer functionality is pretty well documented and more than adequate for what teh Focks here wants to do (also GM has a large community that I imagine could offer good support), I'd say someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty scripting in GML should be able to pull it off.
I dunno what your coding experience is, Focksie, but I wouldn't recommend going from scratch unless you already have experience writing desktop apps/games from scratch; a game on its own can be quite overwhelming to write from the ground up, and you might find yourself in over your head before you can even worry about the online part of your game, which would entail a whole new set of challenges.
I hear Flixel is nice to work with but having no experience with it myself I don't know if it'll help you out at all with the multiplayer side of things.
Working with Unity would probably mean more work overall than starting with Flixel or GM or something. Unity rules, but seems like it'd be overkill.
