Set in the magical world of Eos, a shadow is forming in the east across the demilitarized zone, which separates two powerful nations, the Chaos Imperium in the east and the Holy Empire of Ankhanesia in the west.

They have been in a state of religious cold war for over half a century. The Chaos Supremacists, led by the Imperious-God-Emperor, Xanaphos the Invincible, has been amassing an army the likes of which the world has never seen before. An army bred for one purpose – the total domination of the western-lands, and the destruction of all ideologies that do not conform to its ideals.

Meanwhile in the west, the Ankhanesian Empire is fractured. A civil war has gripped the nation, and the Holy Emperor, Cyrus I, is in a coma due to the trauma of the assassination of his wife and five children.
Their deaths are a total mystery because no bodies have been found.

The story of the game begins, 14 years later, when the fragile peace between the two nations and their allies, is suddenly destroyed.

The Northern Hemisphere of Eos and the Prismoni Union:
The north pole is located at the centre of the map. The equator is around the edge.
The shape of the supercontinent bears some resemblance to a phoenix.

No random encounters. Enemies can be seen and have line of sight and their own behaviours. They have elemental strengths and weaknesses so a good strategy will save your life.

Random item placement and drops. Each playthrough will always be different.

All playable characters and bosses have voiceover.

No level grinding required. All enemies level up with the player. New allies will join the party at a similar level to the player. Certain gear will give the player an advantage.

The number of times you can use a skill is limited until you replenish it by resting or using potions. So that you can't spam the same strong attacks.
Use them wisely.

Day and night system with on-screen clock, seasons, and a dynamic lighting system.

Plenty of puzzles inspired by the game, Chip’s Challenge, a Windows 98 game to rack your brains.

Input chain commands during battles to create combo attacks to inflict more damage.

10-15 hours of non-stop adventuring.

What's new?
- A new journal log in the menu to keep track of quests.
- Optional side quests to expand the lore of Eos.
- Anya's backstory and mission that brings closure to her character.
- Secret places and new areas to visit on the world map.
- More weapons, armours and items including powerful "dark weapons".
- More class skills, weaponskills and special skills.
- Added a variety of fun and challenging minigames and puzzles.
- New characters to interact with, and bosses to defeat.
- Updated the gallery to include more information.
- More in-battle voices and music.
- Unlockable TP modes throughout the game.
- An epilogue pre/post-credits.

I would not recommend using an old save file from a previous version.
Although, the main story should still work but the balancing will be off, and you'll miss out on the new features that 3.01 has to offer.

What's next?
This is a major update so please let me know if you find any bugs/glitches.
The sequel to this game will get a little update in the future so that the continuity, graphics etc, is more consistant with this one.

Thanks in advance for playing. Hope you will like the update.

I love it ! It is so amazing that I felt frustrated it ended quickly. I cannot wait to play JTTE 2. Meanwhile, I'll just play it again. BTW, there were several places who needed a code ( box in my house ? and where the girl with the ring died . and maybe another place too.) where can I find it?
yeah, and the tournament with the psion messiah ( I guess ) where I have to meet someone at the harbour is very hard to pass. Is there any way to pass it ? like tips ?
Hi, it means a lot to me when someone tells me they've completed the game. You're the first to have completed the new version that I know of. Congrats!!!

The safe in the house is for devs only so you can ignore it. I will PM you the code if you want.
The code for the puzzle where the girl died is...
basically prime numbers, 2,3,5,7,11,13. The other tomb is the opposite, 4,6,8,9,10,12 (Composite numbers). I wrote all the answers on the hints page at the top or you can find it in the treehouse in Merrin Forest.

To beat Matrix, you just need to practise and hit the right keys when they are exactly inside the circle to get critical damage. He is there for the people who are really good at the psychic duel mini game. You get the most powerful transducer when you beat him.

Thanks, I didn' see the code there. My bad!
Well anyway I have to complete it again in the hard mode to have a better game exp ( just my thoughts lol )
I will come back after completing it XD Can't wait!!

Thank you for an enjoyable game, great story, setup, pictures, fighting systems and characters. I finished your game with completed guide. But two things I failed to do.
1. psychic guy at the ware house. I cannot even beat him half way. I guess I am too old for it. I tried more than 20 times.
2. the completion side-quest. I do not know what I missed. I only get one check mark with 99% done. What is the reward for the side-quest?
3. how do i find the code for vip on second floor of lucky pharmacy?
hi

although i'm still at the start of the game, its quite enjoyable and the story is pretty good, however i'm not a very good player and lack the time to replay the 15-20 mins over and over due to unexpectedly getting my ass kicked, so is there a way to enable save anywhere?

thank you

I finally got round to playing this wonderful game. Lots to do, plenty of enemies to fight.
Overconfident bosses that were entertaining. As a fan of retro games, I was pleasantly surprised at what I found inside the tower.
Just a couple of questions:
1. Where will Risa's end destination be if she is going east, and what would eventually happen to her?
2. Who was the woman with the long hair and no eyes?
3.What would I get for 100% the game? I missed a few side quests.

Thank you so much for playing my game! Glad you had fun with the Ekaterin Tower. I remember working on it over Christmas and it was a lot of work to get it working and debugged.
I will answer your questions but it will be quite spoilery for other players.
1 - Risa travels across the western half of the continent meeting new people and helping the nations that she passes. Ultimately, she will arrive at Ankh-Eternia, the capital of Ankhanesia, where she ends the dead-lock of the Ankhanesian civil war. Unfortunately, her father (the holy emperor)dies when they reunite and she inherits the throne. This sets the stage of the "world war" that will happen in the near future between Ankhanesia and the Chaos Imperium.
I designed Risa to be a mix between Joan of Arc and Anastasia Romanov. I took a lot of inspiration from these two historical figures minus their tragic deaths.

2 - The mysterious woman is a time traveller from the future. You might notice that I like to use foreshadowing in the game's narrative so I'm pretty sure you're able to guess who she really is.

3 - When you get 100% game completion, Ankhanessa at the end gets the holy flame armour which grants her immunity to all ailments. Super useful when facing the end boss.

oooh! that makes sense. I already subbed the other game in the series. Cant wait ;)
hi

what is the point of glory items?

hi

what is the point of glory items?
Hello,
the glory items don't really serve much of a function in the game, other than show your past achievements and battles. Similar to a display case for trophies.
I am in the sewers or catacombs to Artisala after the Chamber of beasts.
There is a way, where I have to avoid light, in order not to be hurt.
I always die on my way and can't find the right one. Can anybody give me a hint, how to go through that?

Hi, like you said. You need to not step into the light or you'll lose HP.
Eat food to regain HP if you make too many mistakes.
The route to take is go down a bit then right, then pass the light that goes up and down.
Go down, pass the next one that goes round and round. Then go left, then down.
The lights that move, you need to time it right to avoid them.
Hope that helps.
Thank you for your help. Got it
I have another question. I am in the cave on Goge's Peak, saved the sailor Halbard and solved the puzzle. What am I supposed to do next? There is a voice: DIE, and I'm attacked, so I die at once. Where should I go?

When you've solved the puzzle, you need to go back the way you came to escape. But don't linger around for too long because the flashing skull will give you instant gameover.

There is a walkthrough guide in case you get stuck.

Good Luck ;)
Thank you for the quick answer. But I have the problem, that I can't hop back, where I came from. I tried the Z the ENTER and the SPACE button with the flash, but
nothing works. I am just standing in front of the stones and the skull gives me
gameover.

You need to hop back from the middle of the screen, where the platform is the closest. Remember, you cannot jump more than 2 tiles away.

To jump, hold down the direction and then press z.
Sorry, I did everything like you said, but could not jump. When I went towards the platform, before I saved the sailor, it worked.
Have I got a bug or did I do the puzzle in the wrong order?
Sorry, sorry: I know now, what I did wrong. I still had the light on my head, when I tried to jump instead of throwing it to the last statue.
Thank you for the walkthrough. That helps

That's strange if it is a bug. First time something like this has been reported.
I tried the same thing on my end and I was able to jump back to the other side.
It wasn't a bug, I made a mistake with the puzzle.
I've got another question: The woman in the library: Galina (still in the Chancellery?) doesn't sell me a potion.

It's the woman in the library in the Military District, not the one in the Chancellery. You need to have given the medicine to the governness first before she tells you to go there.
