Lunar Wish: Orbs Of Fate is an indie role-playing game developed by LusterMX for the RPG fan community. It provides a unique experience unlike other RPGs in the community and has been made to provide the most complete and fulfilling downloadable gameplay experiences players can enjoy.
One of the elements which set Lunar Wish: Orbs of Fate apart from other games of its genre is that it does not feature a clear main protagonist, despite initial impressions of leading characters. This has been implemented to allow each and every one of the characters to develop and expand at their own pace; the progression of the storyline is also unique in this respect as each of the characters has a significant part to play in the plot. There is no hierarchy within Lunar Wish: each character is considered integral to the overall storyline and gameplay experience. As a result, the game itself is rich in character development and is supplemented by surprising twists and unexpected methods of progression, which are guaranteed to take the player on their own journey of discovery as they play along with the characters. Comedic elements are also continually employed, to give the game its characteristic feel and tone through the character’s voices. While on the surface, Lunar Wish may seem like an innocuous, unexciting RPG, but in reality it does well to subvert the player’s expectations of the standard RPG template.
The gameplay schematic of Lunar Wish was designed to be as simple to understand and play as possible. This was done so that even players who are unfamiliar with the RPG genre could start playing immediately and allow themselves to immerse themselves in the world of Lunar Wish. There are no complex systems to learn and the learning curve is kept minimal as to allow as much of the game to shine through as possible. Skill Trees are used within the game to obtain new skills: this system allows the player to further expand their experience with the game as they progress and become more familiar with the game’s structure. As the characters learn new skills and become more adept in battle, as does the player. The simplistic yet effective system of each character focusing on a different element, tactic and strategy means that battling is always enjoyable without ever being overwhelming.
Lunar Wish is ideally suited to casual gamers, but the prime difficulty level means that there are always new challenges ready to surprise and test the player’s ability to think on their feet. Lunar Wish succeeds in bridging the gap between simplicity and difficulty which is a common problem amongst many games of this genre.
Lunar Wish: Orbs Of Fate has been in development for 5 long gruelling years and is truly a labour of love devoted to members of the RPG fanbase community. It has finally been completed as of 27th April 2013. Estimates would place the total game time at just over 12 hours, but take note that Orbs of Fate is just the first part of an epic duo of RPG games, the second of which will be coming very soon. I hope you enjoy playing Lunar Wish: Orbs of Fate just as much as I enjoyed making and developing it. Happy playing!

I'm kinda hating you. I'm a professional level grinder, but a steep difficulty curve as the one leading to Kobold Fortress is unfair!! :D

My level 16 party (full equipped) is absolutely too weak for this section, but very strong for the previous (The elites are unbeatable, and random encounters are just much stronger :P). Grindig anyway from 16 to 20, but it's a bit too long!
I havent gotten to that part yet but also, as a professional grinder, I am now anticipating the same problems ahead of me. I hate having my ass handed to me over and over again. Alas!
Mwahahaahah~ I mean, dependent on what version you're playing from, I toned down the difficulty on kobolds. I think it's hard on V1.00 and V1.01, but much calmer and cooler on V1.02.

Roy, if you're playing 1.02 or above and you're a pro grinder, you're going to find the game relatively easy actually as grinding isn't shouldn't be required (1.02 and up only).
What do I need to to at Mount Lemele? There is a cave... there are different doors with different colors and boulders but I can't open the first doors cause there is no hint on where to move the boulders. Tried to move them to the gate but this is not working.

Edit: Nevermind. Found info on the 2nd comments page. Seems more people had this problem. Usually you would think there are some "buttons" in the floor where you had to push the boulders but there aren't. Trying the solution mentioned on 2nd comments page now.

Story so far seems interesting and I want to know more.

Edit2: Okay now I'm at the boss. Is it normal that he uses his attack which is attacking all my party members every turn? Cause 1 gets killed in 2 hits... so should I try to keep all alive or just keep 1 alive and heal that 1 and do some hits... cause 1 of them seems to be able to take more hits... but going to take a long time. This seems not balanced well. Will probably take me some time which is boring cause fighting is boring.

Edit3: I forgot you could buy "recovery pod"... this should help... until I get the skill to heal everyone. Went back now and bought a few... with the money I farmed from the random encounters.
Okay. Stopping here now. Unfortunately that boss is too hard. Even with 10 recovery pods not possible cause I'm doing only 400 damage and need 1-2 guys using recovery pod to heal. Seems Angel can heal 600 instead of 300 with the recovery pod but still not helping that much. The boss is too overpowered.

Too bad cause the story seemed interesting. But that uncessesarily hard boss fight is ruining the fun. Don't want to try countless times until I can continue with the story.
According to the version info.txt it is 1.03. I downloaded the main download here a few days ago. All chars are level 12. Maybe level 12 is too low but I don't leveling and random encounters that much - I never escaped so far but I always tried to move not that much so maybe I did not get enough random encounters to level up enough.

The 4 small monsters are not a problem. Saber and Tash can 1 shot them(Saber sometimes missing) with their special skills but then the big guy is only taking 400 damage even from the special skills which seems to take a long time considering you have to heal often(means you can't attack with that char and need tons of heal items).

Edit: With between 10 and 20 recovery pods I think it would work. Tried now with 10... and I'm using all the 10 and then getting in trouble. 10 and always using them with Angel to get 600 heal. Letting Tash use her 10 sp skill and Saber using his normal attack or special skill...
Saber is a bit a problem. Too low sp and the special skills use that much. That should have been more balanced. Angel almost unlimited skill use and never running out of sp and others can only use their skill 1 or 2 time(Saber with 60-70 sp and has a skill with 60 sp cost and others around 30 sp cost). If Saber had more sp it would be easier cause he could constantly deal more damage... now he is at 200 or I need to use every 2 attacks a milk or something so he can use the 400 damage special attack a bit more.

Edit2: Nevermind. Finished it with 10 recover pods. Used all of them. He always used "quake" attack to attack all my guys and Saber always taking more than 50 percent damage... from 10xx down to arond 400-500. Only in the last round he used "Triple Attack"... all other times that annoying "quake". Not fun... and Saber is supposed to be the strong guy ha ha. Weak and always needed the full heal.
If it's V1.03, it's definitely possible with less recovery pods. If you'd like, I can use your save file and then record a video of me beating the boss.
I make Fate the item user as she has a double effect on items when using them - That's why recovery pods restore 600HP when she uses them. Don't forget, you have milk to restore saber's SP. If you have volt strike, it's even easier as you can paralyze the boss (although, it's still possible with other electrical attacks from Saber). Tash is good for knocking out the small monsters. Fate can as well if you've levelled shine.

EDIT: Oh, nvm - I'm glad to see you manage.
Well, I must say that most bosses, of not all, play in this game kinda like optional bosses. I kind of feel that the battle system would be more enjoyable with ATB as some characters would actually get turns more often and characters with low Agility (I'm looking at you, Arc) wouldn't feel so much as "last line of defence".

Well, on my part, I'm at the Kobold Fortress and am wondering if I can backtrack to the town (Arrowseye if I remember right) to get some supplies (armour, where are you?) as I'm always low on them after boss fights.
Oh god 2 full days of power outage, the h*ll is wrong with this place =_=, did I miss anything? XD
@Noel
yes, you can actually backtrack.. and I'm just gonna ask, is the gear for those sentry kobolds that's randomly walking around? coz if it is, beating it won't actually kill it.

That's good to know. Thanks for the reply. I seem to get less and less of them these days.

On a side-note, I really shouldn't have played this after your horror-game >__<

Also, *IS* Feena supposed to say something first time you meet her and fight her?
Because like I said, all I got was a ''missing actor''-error.
Why do you say that? My horror game and Lunar Wish are in parallel universes, just so you know :P
Feena does not say anything in the swamp path scene, although I am confused as to why you get a missing actor error. I don't get anything of the sort...
Does it break the game for you?

Kaze, I should left it so that you can continuously defeat those kobolds again and again, though you bring up a good point of making them so that they disappear forever once defeated. I'm not sure which one to go for.
Firstly, even if they are in parallel universes, I still think I should've played this first. It's just a feeling.

And lastly, the error does not brake or shut down the game.

And another thing: the way the characters' health and energy is displayed looks demo-ish compared to what I saw in the demo(I haven't played it, only seen it on YT, but I'm sure you know how I mean). Looks similar to Star Stealing Prince, yeah, but better than the current look, in my opinion. Just don't hate me for saying what I think regarding this.
Hmm, well since those sentry kobolds area already powerful enough to wipe out Fate's party even when the average party level is between 16-20, how bout making them disappear after 3-4 continous fights AND make it so that they only give low exp points and low mana drop so that even if people do try to fight them, the rewards won't be as satisfying since they would be using a lot of health and sp recovery items XD.

HINT: Kobolds are EXTREMELY weak against paralysis so now I'm grinding as a boss (V. 1.1, downloaded 2 weeks ago), just use paralysis debuff moves and kill them without sweating. The real problem is that you won't move a lot because all Kobolds move in alert, so if you stop the first, the second will block your path (will stand at the only entrance of a path and even if you beat'em you won't pass). Mmmm... this area could be the tombstone of my gameplay (except for the grindig 2500 exp is A LOOOOOOOT at this level).
Yes, and that's exactly why I'm suggesting Sir Luster to lower the exp points and mana drops from those sentry kobolds since not only saber's paralysis-inducing skills render them immobile but also tash's sleep-inducing arrows as well. And 2500 exp is too much considering it's not even halfway through the game yet XD. My idea is to simply make the sentry kobolds hard to kill and even if they were killed, they will only give meager amount of exp and mana - just to annoy people and make it harder for them(dunno if this is a good idea though hahaha) :P

Side note: oh, so you were playing the first completed version of the game, ver. 1.00 right?
- To those who like to level-grind, BoP woods is by far the easiest place to farm exp and mana, with monsters that does not hit very hard and does not have very large HP pools. Oh.. and mobs at that place also drop power tablets.
Another question:
How can I destroy the boulders in the snowy part of the cave between the swamp and SnowDown Town?

Note: I've found out it's called ´´Cronif Cave´´.
