Lunar Wish: Orbs Of Fate is an indie role-playing game developed by LusterMX for the RPG fan community. It provides a unique experience unlike other RPGs in the community and has been made to provide the most complete and fulfilling downloadable gameplay experiences players can enjoy.
One of the elements which set Lunar Wish: Orbs of Fate apart from other games of its genre is that it does not feature a clear main protagonist, despite initial impressions of leading characters. This has been implemented to allow each and every one of the characters to develop and expand at their own pace; the progression of the storyline is also unique in this respect as each of the characters has a significant part to play in the plot. There is no hierarchy within Lunar Wish: each character is considered integral to the overall storyline and gameplay experience. As a result, the game itself is rich in character development and is supplemented by surprising twists and unexpected methods of progression, which are guaranteed to take the player on their own journey of discovery as they play along with the characters. Comedic elements are also continually employed, to give the game its characteristic feel and tone through the character’s voices. While on the surface, Lunar Wish may seem like an innocuous, unexciting RPG, but in reality it does well to subvert the player’s expectations of the standard RPG template.
The gameplay schematic of Lunar Wish was designed to be as simple to understand and play as possible. This was done so that even players who are unfamiliar with the RPG genre could start playing immediately and allow themselves to immerse themselves in the world of Lunar Wish. There are no complex systems to learn and the learning curve is kept minimal as to allow as much of the game to shine through as possible. Skill Trees are used within the game to obtain new skills: this system allows the player to further expand their experience with the game as they progress and become more familiar with the game’s structure. As the characters learn new skills and become more adept in battle, as does the player. The simplistic yet effective system of each character focusing on a different element, tactic and strategy means that battling is always enjoyable without ever being overwhelming.
Lunar Wish is ideally suited to casual gamers, but the prime difficulty level means that there are always new challenges ready to surprise and test the player’s ability to think on their feet. Lunar Wish succeeds in bridging the gap between simplicity and difficulty which is a common problem amongst many games of this genre.
Lunar Wish: Orbs Of Fate has been in development for 5 long gruelling years and is truly a labour of love devoted to members of the RPG fanbase community. It has finally been completed as of 27th April 2013. Estimates would place the total game time at just over 12 hours, but take note that Orbs of Fate is just the first part of an epic duo of RPG games, the second of which will be coming very soon. I hope you enjoy playing Lunar Wish: Orbs of Fate just as much as I enjoyed making and developing it. Happy playing!

Surprised ya never played the lunar series...excellent ps1 era rpg games to try if you ever get the chance (I could give a whole list of games, but I'm trying to stay on topic here).

Anyways on topic: I was taking another look and I like the idea of gadgets as well (btw, I noticed two of those pics got removed and it's annoying to see that default tinypic thing there). The world map seems rather small, but that's probably just a small portion of it. Extra quests and everything are always a bonus. That reminds em, are minigames optional? I won't be skipping any myself, but it'd be a shame if anyone got stuck due to a required one. A shame I missed my chance on the harder version though...as skilled as I am. Ah well, soon to come will be my 100% completion..and I will be aiming for 0 boss deaths. I have vanquished many a difficult boss in other games.

Semi off topic here: As for why I can't play it yet, I'll give a short version (you don't have to read this, but thought I'd give an explanation regardless). We were moving into a bigger house, but our old house sold before our new one closed so were currently living in our camper. This also means instead of access to excellent internet and my top notch gaming computer, instead I'm using someone elses crappy laptop, and the wifi at this place is awful and randomly cuts out. I wouldn't want to dl much on a borrowed computer anyways.

At any rate, I'll save my next post for when I can actually play since I don't really have anything else to comment on from just reading the game page. I also don't want to clutter this lol.
Ignore this one: double post was caused by that formentioned awful wifi.
Lunar Wish: Orbs of Fate has been updated to 1.02!

1.02 Updates:
*General improvements
*More monster adjustments
*Made it so that Kobolds are stunned for longer with the Throwing Star
*Scrapped the boulder puzzle minigame
*Fixed a glitch which causes you to delevel from reading a sign in Applon Forst
*Fixed a glitch where you can skip some of the storyline
*Fixed the triple Special Book Glitch
*Removed Beach Pebbles as items you find in the game (They have no significance or contribution)
*Boosted Cindy's Skills so they have increased damage with less variance + same for Tash's Mind Arrow
*Healing Lights are now unlimited!
*Arc's Defense has now been reduced, but both Thron Blow and Grass are much more powerful now
*Herbal Disaster now requires level 4 Grass and Thorn Blow (Previously, required Level 5)
*Adjusted character base stats for more of a balance

So basically, I think all of the reported bugs have been fixed! :)
Is the Meat Getter sword worth picking up or am I better off waiting to upgrade my sword until I reach the city?

Of course I will XD

I'm gonna start right now(crappy net speed download took longer than expected >.<), this time around maybe I won't have gold trouble anymore like ver 1.00,
during that time I only had enough gold to buy 1 piece of equipment for each character and had to choose between armor or weapon - ahh... memories XD
well i have small problem it's about russet chunks you need 12 for amulet from the guy i have 31 at the moment and he is saying i don't have enough
I apologise for that! That guy was bugged, but it's been fixed now in V1.02 (You can update if you want). Sorry for the troubles (although, the heart amulets can still be purchased from a shop as an alternative).

As for Aurora, the Meat Getter, I personally find is worth it. But it's really up to you! :)
thanks for fast reply just updated and now all is good
and yea i know you could buy it from shop but considering at the beginning it's hard with money because i needed almost all the time get better equipment so i wanted to use russet chunks to get this amulet at least 750 money can be invested in something different that way
ah right i wanted to ask those items that you can buy in second city where you get your first gadget that give you some stat are permament or are they drop after some time?

Are you referring to the tablets? Yes, they're permanent!

yea tablets when i saw them showing up in shop that fast i was almost sure that they were just for one fight or something considering how cheap they are in most games i played almost none really made items that increase stat possible to buy and if they did they prices would were very big so was surprised and so that's why i asked

Hmmm.. are you playing ver 1.02 or ver 1.00? cause during the earlier version, 1400 mana is well umm.. expensive? Hahaha XD
Umm just a suggestion Sir Luster, if you may - wouldn't it be better to increase the prices of those perma-stat boosting tablets since gold/mana is easier to obtain now that the game is on ver. 1.02?
at the moment ver 1.02 and yea when you get to this city it is expensive true at the beggining but near end game i don't think it would really be that expensive considering the farther you go the more money you get from monsters

actually now that it's ver 1.02 around mid game you can farm gold/mana and buy enough tablets to strengthen you favorite character/everyone, however when I mentioned "earlier", I meant the previous 1.00 version where gold/mana is really hard to earn, even at the last stages of the game.

eg: ver 1.00 -> applon forest, slime x3, gold drop = 6 gold
ver 1.02 -> applon forest, slime x3, gold drop = 38 gold

twas hard hahaha, good times, good times :)
Haha! I'm not sure how much tablets should be worth to be honest! It might even be better to take them out at end game point.
