Lunar Wish: Orbs Of Fate is an indie role-playing game developed by LusterMX for the RPG fan community. It provides a unique experience unlike other RPGs in the community and has been made to provide the most complete and fulfilling downloadable gameplay experiences players can enjoy.
One of the elements which set Lunar Wish: Orbs of Fate apart from other games of its genre is that it does not feature a clear main protagonist, despite initial impressions of leading characters. This has been implemented to allow each and every one of the characters to develop and expand at their own pace; the progression of the storyline is also unique in this respect as each of the characters has a significant part to play in the plot. There is no hierarchy within Lunar Wish: each character is considered integral to the overall storyline and gameplay experience. As a result, the game itself is rich in character development and is supplemented by surprising twists and unexpected methods of progression, which are guaranteed to take the player on their own journey of discovery as they play along with the characters. Comedic elements are also continually employed, to give the game its characteristic feel and tone through the character’s voices. While on the surface, Lunar Wish may seem like an innocuous, unexciting RPG, but in reality it does well to subvert the player’s expectations of the standard RPG template.
The gameplay schematic of Lunar Wish was designed to be as simple to understand and play as possible. This was done so that even players who are unfamiliar with the RPG genre could start playing immediately and allow themselves to immerse themselves in the world of Lunar Wish. There are no complex systems to learn and the learning curve is kept minimal as to allow as much of the game to shine through as possible. Skill Trees are used within the game to obtain new skills: this system allows the player to further expand their experience with the game as they progress and become more familiar with the game’s structure. As the characters learn new skills and become more adept in battle, as does the player. The simplistic yet effective system of each character focusing on a different element, tactic and strategy means that battling is always enjoyable without ever being overwhelming.
Lunar Wish is ideally suited to casual gamers, but the prime difficulty level means that there are always new challenges ready to surprise and test the player’s ability to think on their feet. Lunar Wish succeeds in bridging the gap between simplicity and difficulty which is a common problem amongst many games of this genre.
Lunar Wish: Orbs Of Fate has been in development for 5 long gruelling years and is truly a labour of love devoted to members of the RPG fanbase community. It has finally been completed as of 27th April 2013. Estimates would place the total game time at just over 12 hours, but take note that Orbs of Fate is just the first part of an epic duo of RPG games, the second of which will be coming very soon. I hope you enjoy playing Lunar Wish: Orbs of Fate just as much as I enjoyed making and developing it. Happy playing!

The review is pending so I'll have to wait and see what will become of it. I'm surprised that you haven't reviewed the full version yet. You seemed so full of knowledge when It came to the demo.

I'm going to be honest here, and say when I played this game I made an account just to review it.

The game has its flaws, but overall its a great game!

The only real downfall of the game is the boss battles.

No Xemeth, the BOSS battles are fine.....what ?, you prefer dying in battle rather then winning :)
There it is. Finally found that last, stupid soulstone. I nearly considered doing a new game just to find it. But then I probably wouldn't have been able to luck out on those boss battles a second time haha.

The boss battles I explain in the review. Mind you that I'm not completely saying they're bad. Its the fact that what happends before the boss battles is my main issue.
Question: Is it possible to boost the Item Drop Rate?

Wanna finish the "Slime Goo" Quest but the Nightslimes BARELY drop any Blue goo.

Go to Forest Appalon and fight Blue Slime to get Blue Goo.

I don't think anything other than luck affects it. Though farming the right monsters can help. The angry Nightslimes as mentioned above might work since they're so weak (fast farming) but they didn't drop squat for me. I know for sure Mt. Lemele (the first dungeon you play as Fate, Tash, and Sabre in) has the happy blue slimes and are also quite weak. Finally, I personally finished the quest farming the area one screen north and west of Lumeni (Tyrone Docks).

To give you some reference, I leveled a party from about lvl 40 to 45 farming for 7 blue goos with Clover Amulets on everyone. It might be faster if you use a different spot but likely it is going to suck either way.

Have a good one.

I THINK I'm almost done :)

Trying to finish up a few quests.
The charm wanted by the witch is with the female "brat" in Arrowseye.
I need the key to her house. Looked everywhere, including rocks, trees, haystacks and even kicked a few chickens :)
Can someone help me find the key so I can rob the little girl and hopefully be allowed to beat her up after I steal her charm ??

Also, looking for a few Russit chunks and Pthalo chunks...having trouble remembering where they are :(

Thanks, Linkis
Just a couple more levels and saber will be at 99. After that I'm going to level up Kross then Myst, and lastly but not least venna I just wish I could buy more clover amulets, but I made the lady mad,and now I can't get in xD

I'll post a screenshot of my stats when I'm done. 26 hours of gameplay so far. Make the angry lady go away xD

You can find russet chunks on the beach or in the first cave I believe, as for the pthalo you get in the forest temple.

Thank you Xemeth, that's very helpful.
But what I really want is the key to the brats house so I can get, steal her charm and beat the "mess outa her" :)

Oh, and there are at least two beaches in the game :( off to the shore for me :)
@Abraska
Congratulations and thank you for posting your final score stats! I shall add you to the Hall of Fame list. I really hope you enjoyed playing!!

@ Shinryu101
The easiest way to get Blue Slimes are from the blue slimes that exist in Mt.Lemele

@Linkis
Just as Xemeth says, you can get the Russet Chunks on the beach in Tyrone City (Beach area). If you sold them or used them up, you could get them from Deleters. (They are found in the TanBurn Passage). Phthalo Chunks are found from the monsters in the Fountain Temple/ you can usually find them on the ground in that area. If you are looking for them from the monsters, then it may be a bit rare (1/12 chance).
In order to get the key, you need to use the Zippo on the haystack in Arrowseye Village.

@Xemeth
Le-Level 99!? That's just. That's just wow.
Um... you won't have a problem with The Rebellion at all if you decide to continue your save file from Orbs of Fate!

Quests call for a total of 11 Phthalo chuncks and I have 9.

Zippo on haystack ??? what will you think of next :)
Quests call for full Phthalo chuncks of 11 and I have 9.
Can be dropped in Mt Gelado.
Almost everything you need it in this game.
Am I the only one that thinks arc is the most useless character combat wise?

I think a good solution for that is to make his axe two handed Since his hp, and defense is already high enough, and make him hit twice like Falk.

I think I messed up with the purple shards so I wont get 100% The armor store in snow down town.
Am I the only one thinks que arc is the most useless character combat wise?

Generally the knight class cause great harm if Ark is the weakest team. Are used when there is no other choice. Skills lacking.
Fate would be the most powerful in terms of abilities and no longer spell a support healing. Cindy is weak cause little damage.
I got saber to 99 Finally! Now I'm going to train Myst first since she's my second DPS.
@Xemeth/Shun

I thought Arc was super useful actually. I agree his attack is pretty weak for a knight. However, he's obviously a tank so exploit him as such. I had him solo the 4 Seahorse bosses and let everyone else stay dead until the very end. All my cash went to $kills so no one else had any defense and dropped faster than playing dance dance revolution with two broken legs. Moreover, he's the safest member to have someone use healing pods so he makes for a ghetto Kross.

Otherwise, he's useful in that he has unlimited MP with mana well combined with his 3 hit AoE among an unexpectedly large list of $kills. Though, I still can't get Field Defense to work (is this a bug?).
@Abraska

Not a bad point to put out there. I'm going to train the others to atleast level 50 Because If I know Luster. He's gonna screw me over with party splitting xD better safe then sorry. :D
Alright I'm done! I think I'm ready for the sequel now. So far after looking carefully at the characters. I find that Cindy Is truly the weakest character combat wise Good on ya Abraska, and Shun for making me aware of that. I was grinding, and I realized that luster trolled us. Lets be honest here We didn't play Lunar wish Orbs of fate. No my friends what we played was a prequel to a game that doesn't exist yet. You GENIUS now you got me stringed along waiting to see the conclusion of this story. I almost felt like you could have placed a REAL final boss to this story.

(-_(-_(-_-)_-)_-) we're waiting for it.

I'm done! Luster we're friends now. xD
