Yup! They're just basic little trail renderers. I kept everything pretty flat texture-wise and it makes the color pop out a lot in this weird, crisp way :)

I like your creepy bug thing, the texture is beautiful!


Simple models with really nice hand-crafted textures make-up for how poor we are at modeling compared to pros who spend dozens of hours on each model. : )

This is from a little platformer I'm working on :) Making the levels is pretty fun, but I'm still stuck on some of the in-between bits...

I also made a little Vine of it 'cuz it all looks prettier while moving

Halloween Game progress now that we've managed to put down Pokemon X/Y for a bit...

These updates had better be for either:
A. Increasing my Maker Score
B. Giving everyone an excuse to play Pokemon X/Y (even if they should be working on their Halloween projects)

Entry here is going smoothly. I'm going to guess it's not going to be received too well, so bob_esc and I will make it up by recording some Let's Tries of the other entries. It was a lot of fun for the surrealism contest a few years ago and it should be neat to do again.


Dunno why it wouldn't be well received.

If I remember the one you mean it was well received and most of the people participated in the ruse for quite a while.

Yeah, I think LockeZ has the typical pattern down of the people who don't submit to events. Either that or "what I've done isn't up to my standards, so I'll rather not submit it".


Start early, word hard (especially in the beginning), and have no standards.

if I wanted to make a real horror game I'd make one about exploring my browser history
we already made a real horror game. it's called "we lowered the experience curve but forgot that Oushi's breath attack damage is based on the target's level"

I'd usually:
1. Do the logic using the custom values in the attack calculations field if possible (isn't always, but something to consider - you can include a special variable you calculate via script ahead of time)

2. I do a script event or call a function I wrote in the script that does a case or if/else with all the logic I need and sets the final "case" you want for the event code into a variable and then I use that in the event code

You should always do what's best for the project - W&R got some pretty great reviews, so I'm going to assume he took it in the right direction. I'm not familiar with any drama about it, but even then, calling it out specifically seems a little... unnecessary?
