Blackmoon Prophecy II Demo

Played a little bit of it.

Nitpicks
-The opening cutscene is cool and all, but it's too darn long. I don't want to look at it every time I want to play the game. Please make an option to skip it in the future.
-In the first area Zephyr has the default faceset for some reason. It swaps to the normal one once I leave the area though.
-Cursor goes a bit offscreen whenever you go into a menu.
-Odd corner tiles can't be walked on. I'm assuming you're still working on that.
-Why are logs key items? It would make more sense to have like a 'Journal' section of the menu devoted to that.
-Combat is awesome. Especially running away. Thank youuuuuuu. However you can't run away when you get backed attacked for no reason.

That's the stuff I noticed. It's really awesome overall from what I've played so far. It's leagues above many Final Fantasy fan games. (With a few exceptions.)

Blackmoon Prophecy II Demo

Gee, development sure is going fast!

2-Day DO SOMETHING Challenge!

Speaking of games, I'm almost done with the first dungeon.

I guess I'll consider the version I upload an early alpha, since I have a ton more ideas I can put into it.

2-Day DO SOMETHING Challenge!

well here's what I did today when I got really bored in a class

2-Day DO SOMETHING Challenge!

got rough development for the first area done. Unless I pull consecutive all nighters and skip school, there's no way I'm finishing this game.

But hey, it got the ball rolling! I'll release a demo of what I finish on the 16th.

I'm so sick of book adaptations that suck. How hard could it possibly be to stay true to your source material?!

Good examples of staying true is The Lord of the Rings books, Harry Potter, the second Hunger Games, To Kill a Mocking Bird, The Shining, and The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

As those examples have shown, it's not that hard to follow a book, and expand upon it. Some of the best movies can come from books!
Bad examples is the Percy Jackson franchise, the Spiderwick Chronicles, A Series of Unfortunate Events, and Eragon. (And that's just with kids books.)

I mean, I'm not saying changing plot points to speed up the story is a bad thing. Quite the contrary. Look at The Wizard of Oz. It cuts out a ton of stuff, but it still retains the charm of the original book.

No, I'm talking about changing things for no good reason. As in removing characters, plot points, important information, and even completely rewriting characters for no real reason. Why bother doing that? It doesn't help the movie in any way, shape or form.

I mean if you can't bother to follow the book's basic plot accurately, then why the heck are you even bothering to make a movie out of it?

Something that was bothering me for a while. What do you guys think?

WYRM WARRIORS! Design a character!

author=Isrieri
He must have magicked all their melons into monsters or something. Maybe all melons are just the magical ingredient needed to birth horrifying demons from the pits of hell.

Make this a plot point pls.

WYRM WARRIORS! Design a character!

Now to start speculation on everybody's character's roles.
