ATEN'S PROFILE

I'm a hobbyist game maker. I like making games as both a hobby and a challenge. I'm currently trying to make a game using the Linear Motion Battle System similar to Tales of Eternia. If you are interested, check out my youtube of the progress! Located here:

I also dabble in programing software and I've made some nifty utilities but my best one so far is a Save Editor for Final Fantasy XII. Get it here:

What other RM games have inspired your projects?

Velsarbor inspired me. That's pretty much it. If the topic were about commercial games on the other hand...

How to make a hack-n-slash game

Not that I know of. The best you can do is download a similar game and poke around the coding yourself. They aren't terribly hard, so you should be good.

Edit: Ok so I found one.

i don't really mind read topics not carrying over to other pcs. i like to think i remember stuff well enough that it isn't really an issue. it's not enough of an annoyance to merit a huge overhaul or whatever.

I remember stuff well enough too, the problem is that the entire BOARD is marked as new, so I click it expecting something new but find all topics I already read before. (Which are also marked as new).

But I can live with that if it's not going to be changed. It's just a minor time waster.

Vanadia Project

Added a new video. Check it out :)

Why aren't there more tutorials on the basics?

Alright. Some tutorials on basics of switches, treasure chests, random items, fork conditions, npc's and adding npc's to party were added. I'll do some variable tuts next.

Also, to add to this a bit, how come when you go to a different PC and log on, everything you've read on your own PC is marked as NEW again? It's kinda annoying.
