Oh its thanksgiving? Welp, happy thanksgiving guys!

I went out for a walk late today, really nice breeze and stuff. Brisbane Suburbia is really great for daily strolls.

I can never remember if Minecraft was coded in Java or java script but i always think java because of just how badly it's optimized.

Reason I stopped playing Assassins Creed II was because of uPlay.

I had the pirate version originally because I don't trust triple A devs to be truthful, ofcourse they could have provided a demo and saved us both, but no, no one does demos anymore, which irritates the fucking crap out of me.

So I go and buy it legit and it expects me to boot uPlay.

Nope, I just won't play it, I'll play Thief II or Strangers Wrath that run on steam without a hitch just fine, thanks! (Both are much better games, anyway. So is dishonored)

I know I'm probably a hypocrite here since steam is the same, but the thing is I BOUGHT IT ON STEAM, I EXPECT I CAN PLAY IT ON STEAM WITHOUT HAVING TO DOWNLOAD ANOTHER FUCKING INTERNET DRM!

Had refunds been around then I'd have refunded it no exceptions.

I don't want that uPlay shit on my computer, much like I don't want Windows Live Arcade or fucking Origin. If I BUY SOMETHING ON STEAM, LET ME PLAY IT ON STEAM.

I'll refund any fucking game that asks, no-- DEMANDS that I download their bullshit spyware to play their game.

Also I should tell you all about my friend Kurtis, (actually spelled Curtis but I give his fictional character a K because it looks cool) we went to two timezones (game arcades) on Friday, played Air Hockey a bunch, some duck hunt, some more gamble-ish games, some basketball, but I think the most fun I had with was test your strength, not because I'm any good at it (I resemble barbed wire with all the sheathing stripped off) but because I love being able to fulfill my impulses for cartoon violence.

It was a great day!

In school on the Wednesday before someone asked us if we were friend from school or something, so I guess we've clicked pretty well over the last 12 weeks.

We snark each other like crazy, discuss a bunch of stuff, mostly related to games or puzzles, and commonly go to Churro's (Chocolate restaurant, no I'm not kidding they exist!) or a Pancake plaza to eat if I'm in the mood for some malnutrition-based self-destruction.

I actually said something like "Grimfang Dingo did the deaddy do first" but it sounded too hilarious so my agent suggested I omit it and keep it for the game.

I will admit the Flower of Sentience is a little on the nose, but tell me... have you met with the FLOWER OF IMPATIENCE!?

He's kind of angry about how you and that other flower talk so much, and have such pleasant vitriolic exchanges about puns and mannerisms.

That battleback needs a little work... Also going to make the Health bar white and go to black. There's a white border so that shouldn't be a problem.

Quick map I did this morning, the inside of the Bee Hive Castle.
Still needs a good bit of cleaning up.

The Queen Bee has been being fed poisoned nectar by the Roach Clan, trying to seize power from the Hive.

I hope some heroes, bees, ants or age ants (GEDDIT??) will help her out, I always did like bees!

I actually am really beginning to like this palette, though I've been a fan of matte noire coloring even since I began reading homestuck in late 2011. I came to dig it even more so after Problem Sleuth. I love the way pure black and pure white can contrast and do contrast SO VIOLENTLY and yet so somberly... too!

It's really good for evoking emotion.

I'm surprised I hadn't started on something like this sooner, to be quite honest!

@Dookie: Being inspired by your tale of the bug kingdoms, I wanted to do a couple insignia concepts.

I however made the grave mistake of googling bee face, those fuckers are terrifying close up. I probably shouldn't be doing this when my Doctor saying I may have a heart condition, but inspiration is a powerful thing, as is my completely inert knowledge of bugs.
