The Age of Deliverance

Cool. Subbed. Might download.

Earthbound-y.

People probably hate their game's graphics being compared to Earthbound all the time. As if that's the only game people know.

This looks good.

RMN v4.5 (and beyond) Feature Idea List

Motion to create a tag for RTP-inclusive and RTP-exclusive downloads.

Design your own level for Chips Challenge!

This would be a lot easier to design levels if you created a project file to download.... then I can test the levels and improve them. If you can't test it then it's no use, imo! Still, might make a level just to get a review lols

Exchange Review for Levels

I might actually try this. Doesn't seem too hard.

Though I don't have a game for you to review though. But I like the idea of saving one up! ^_^

Yay, I'm in!

So basically we all want something with XP's mapping, 2k3's practicality, VX Ace's flexibility, Game Maker's functionality, and Unity's professionalism?

RPG Maker VX has all of those things plus more. It is the holy grail of game making engines. You better not mess with this baby. It's the Microsoft Vista of gaming... in other words, better than your wildest dreams.

Games you love but everyone hates.

I love Dear Esther but a lot of people hate it because it's too vague and artsy. Which it is. But I still absolutely love it.

Starseed Pilgrim: It's more like one that no-one has heard of, but those that have, dismiss it as "Jonathan Blow's favorite game" and as an overrated game for people who idolize game design over actual gameplay experience. I count myself in that category sometimes. Starseed Pilgrim is a gem.

Fez. People love it, tons of people love it, but tons of people hate it too. Just like Phil Fish. I'm not sure whether this is counting as "everyone hates it" but I listed it here anyway.

What process do you do to make games?

author=SnowOwl
1)Write up a general storyline
2)Plan genre and gameplay
4)Make up the rest as I go, map by map
5)Done!

What's step 3?

Name your maker!

I don't like the look of XP and I don't like the limitations of VX. I'm also not that good at using 2k3 so I guess VXAce is my last hope! Also I don't like XP's graphical style. The characters are too tall and the windowskins are ugly. 2k3 probably had the best windowskin/font but I love scripts too much and I don't want to eff around with DynRPG. I'm not that pro. Granted, I would love the tileset format of XP, with its unlimited tilesets on one map and the ability to choose your own passability for each tile, but I am also just familiar with VX Ace and I'm starting to make good games with it, so why change? Also I bought it from Steam so I may as well make the most of it.

Edit: Unity is in the plans for when I want to go pro.
