[RM2K][RM2K3] Small survey about patches - takes only a minute

Damn, I should have added a "Do you create DynRPG plugins" question, or include the plugins in the patch creation question :|

The "new" RM2k3 engine

There is a reason: The official version is lacking the advanced abilities the inofficial had, namely the use of DynRPG and other modifications. This means that people who use any add-ons and bought the new RM would still be stranded, because they wouldn't be able to publish their games here which they started earlier, because they wouldn't be able to convert their project to the official engine because it would stop working.

[RM2K][RM2K3] Small survey about patches - takes only a minute

Hello,

you would do me a great favour if you could spare a minute to fill out this short survey about RM2k(3) patches: http://goo.gl/forms/OW1PCkHSu3

One of the reasons I need it is to allow me to make more accurate statements in front of Degica/Enterbrain.

Thanks a lot!
Cherry

The official English 2k3 version is out!

Actually, we do aim to fix older bugs (which, by the way, RM2k3 has plenty of) and improve the engine a bit, since it not only targets existing RM2k3 users, but also new ones, and it would be a bit shitty to sell a bag of bugs as "new, official version". It's a shame we didn't have enough time to do these things before the initial release already.

Do you mean "Random blocks from above" and "Random blocks from below"? In RPG Advocate's translation these were called "(Un)Wipe upwards" and "(Un)Wipe downwards", respectively.

Altered? No, we didn't change the transitions.
What do you mean?

@Zachary_Braun: Only the limit check during importing was removed.

The "bigger pictures" change was mostly done to allow people to use larger pictures to zoom/scroll them around (or use them as huge spritesheet with one screen size per sprite, with "Move Picture" for animating).

The game screen is always 320x240. If it's stretched to 1280x960, it merely means that it's displayed with a 4x zoom, including all its contents, such as your pictures.

Previously, the limit was 640x480 for pictures. This limit has now been removed.

Bigger pictures than 320x240 do make sense if you intend to scroll them or zoom them.

EDIT: Oh, right, monsters... Maybe I should modify the restriction there as well.
