@reflect bug: Unfortunately, it was *not* fixed in 1.09a. It will reflect on the correct member now, but only if the heroes in the party are exactly actors #1, #2, #3, #4 from the database, otherwise the game might even crash. This will be finally fixed in 1.11.

And the faster loading time was only refering to *events*, not to the database itself.

The whole reason for this decelerating is that we noticed that there were some bugs if the speed was increasing in DynRPG's RPG::battleSpeed variable, which is basically a multiplicator on all the ATB deltas added each turn. This way, we try to avoid these bugs because still are not sure what causes them (and finding out what causes them took too long).

Actually, I gave you incorrect information on this one, sorry. I forgot that I changed the formula at the end once more.

The correct values are:
0% => speed x5
9% => speed x4.5
18% => speed x4
...
83% => speed x1.5
92% => speed x1
... stays at speed x1 until 100%.

I imported EJ, but I couldn't do a whole lot since it relies so heavily on patches and plugins. It loaded though! The new rendering engine is very nice!
So do patches and plug-ins have zero functionality in this new version? Or is there some way to get them to work, regardless of the current "official" support?


If a patch is based on v1.08 of the engine (such as DynRPG), it won't work (until a new version was created by somebody).

At the moment, no. It might be added some time in the future.

(However, you can theoretically replace the packaged font in the resources of the DLL file, and use a RM2k3 font changer utility to change the name of the required font in the engine accordingly. But this is not officially supported.)
