Looking for a patch for the ATB bar.
They would need to use the DynRPG patch, which is probably not the case in 99.9% of the cases at the moment :-)
(Hmm, I *do* have another idea, which would work with other people's games too... but I don't have time to do it at the moment, sorry

Alternative to using Cherry's font changer?
If Hyper Patcher 2 doesn't work either (it has a better font changing engine than the original font changer), you can still change the font using a hex editor (like HxD, Hex Editor MX or XVI32).
(This tutorial assumes you never used a hex editor before.)
1. Create a backup of your RPG_RT.exe
2. Open your RPG_RT.exe in the hex editor
3. Do a text search for "MS Mincho" (or for "MS Gothic", but then you might get a "wrong" match first, so you have to use the second match)
4. Scroll up a few lines, it should look like this:

Note that the horizontal position might not be the same as in my picture ("shifted" somehow).
5. Make sure overwrite mode is on. You can press the Insert key to change the mode (insert/overwrite) - most hex editors show the current mode in the status bar.
6. Place the cursor at the beginning of one of the font names (in my example, I am going to replace "MS Mincho") and enter the new font name:

You will see that the hexadecimal byte data at the left side will change too while you enter the new name.
--- You can skip steps 7 and 8 if the new font name is longer than the old one.
7. Now place the cursor at the left side (in the hexadecimal data), after the last block which changed during input (normally, hex editors highlight changed data, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find the right spot ^^).
8. Now type a few "00" blocks (two zeroes), until you "catch up" with the existing "00" blocks.

On the right side, the rest of the old name should now be gone.
9. Save your changes.
Best regards,
Cherry
(You may ask why I wrote all this instead of just saying "send me your file, I'll do it"? Because this way other people can do it too.)

LET'S SWAP! - Battle Animations
Please note that you can open more than one instance of the RPG Maker by using this: http://cherrytree.at/ultimate
Otherwise, I think it is a really great idea. Should be done more often.
Using the program MEX it would be possible to share single animations (without sharing the whole database).
MEX is not well-known, and the download links are dead, so I uploaded it: http://share.cherrytree.at/showfile-5893/mex.exe
This little tool was originally made to share RMXP/VX clipboard data (events, maps, etc.) on the internet as text. It can, however, be used to share ANY kind of clipboard data (also RM2k/2k3 animations
):
First, copy the animation to the clipboard.
Then, open MEX and choose "English" as language (bottom left choice field).
Then, click Special -> Own DataString
It should now show "Format582" in the text field, this is the identifier for animation data. Click OK.
Now, click "Read". You can now use Text -> Copy to copy the data in text form and paste it on the forum.
For example, this is the default "Punch A" animation of RM2k3:
(Unfortunately, the forum doesn't break this line at all... So you better select the whole line by clicking at the left side of it and dragging one line down.)
For pasting this data into the RPG Maker, you need to start MEX, choose English and click Special -> Own DataString again. Now, you have to enter "Format582" manually, copy the data from the forum and use Text -> Paste. Then click "Write". And now, paste the animation in the RPG Maker.
As said earlier, this works with all kinds of clipboard data. The "Own DataString" will be different for different kinds of data, though.
Best regards,
Cherry

RPG Maker 2k9 Ultimate question
Well, seems like I never noticed this issue. Looks like there is a hard-coded limit in the RPG Maker 2003. Unfortunately I do not have time at the moment to find the right spot and write a patch which can be included in RM2k9U... :(
Looking for a patch for the ATB bar.
Increasing the battle speed would be one line of code in a DynRPG plugin...
(Sorry, I do not have time at the moment to do it, but there are already many others who can most likely do it. Hint: RPG::battleSpeed)

Looking for DynRPG plugins!

Hey, hello!
Sorry for not responding during the last weeks, I have really a lot of work to do here (moving into my own apartment, starting a business, working at a hospital (mandatory 9-month job, as alternative to military service))... Thank you for the great response to this project! I hope I will find time soon to work on it again.
Best regards,
Cherry

[OVER][Contest] DynRPG Plugin Programming Contest - Win Amazon Gift Cards! - NEW: Pathfinding plugin submitted!
Hello,
thanks for the contributions!
Sorry, real life is now trapping me. I had no time since February, since I am starting a business AND I have to work in the hospital (Zivildienst, that's mandatory work, 9 months, as alternative to the military service)...
Nobody won yet, because I had no time at all :-)
The contest is thus expanded indefinitely until I have time to finish it (we have not enough plugins anyway, could be better ;-) )
Best regards,
Cherry
