i like how all 4 or so other reviews give it like, a 4+ but this is a 2. another good job sol, you obviously know what you're talking about.
Sarcasm can be a beautiful thing if used artistically.
Yeah I also took it to be sarcastic.... could be wrong though.

I'm slowly trudging through this game at the moment, and the only big complaint that I have is the characters, like Soli said. So far, none of them are likable, and I keep hoping that will turn around eventually. I skipped the spoilers part so I'll have to keep playing and see.
Characters have been probably the most divisive part of the game. Some people like them, some people hate them. I think several of them could stand for more development, of course, but most people have not considered that a game-breaker. It's all about tastes, I guess.

The thing I found is that with all the backstabbing and plotting to further said backstabbing, I had a hard time figuring out who the good guys were, if there were any. The plot in itself was hard enough to understand, though I'm starting to get the feeling that it's just me.

The Tiamat Sacrament Review

Well you're doing better than I did. Even with hacking up my stats and all that jazz, I still couldn't stand it through the first cave.

EDIT: I apologize, I re-read what was written and understand his stance now.

"Ahoy mates, bring me a piece of quartz from the first dungeon in the game, bring it all the way back to me to proceed in your quest with no apparent rhyme or reason."

*pauses and looks to the ceiling, asking self whether or not to continue*

*closes game*

*delete*

Honestly, why did the creator of this game even bother posting this on the site?
I'm a little late on this reply (very late) but don't worry, you didn't miss much. After bring back the quartz, the captain apparently doesn't think it's enough and also demands 1000 gold pieces, or whatever the currency is. And then you get on the ship and end up in the next town, and I guess that's where the demo ends because... well, noboby to talk to in the next village, you can't leave the village except to bo back to the previous plains where you first got the boat, and you can't enter any of the dwellings in this new town. The designer didn't even have the courtesy to say the demo is over.

Brilliant!

That'll teach them sumbitches to live in some way, shape or form.

Transparent Water without pictures or charsets.

The only thing that really sticks out to me is that while the cliff curves, the water level does not.

"Re-translation" in Progress!

I think we all feel that way about our own games. I've actually caught myself playing through the old 2007 versions of both Dawning of a Dragon's Valor and Redeeming Legacy them to completion and then some, feeling good about doing so on multiple occasions, too. I even took it a step further and hit lvl 99 on the main characters, bought the best equipment, and started buying the stat boosting items for the sake of maxing out stuff like HP on DoaDV. At least half of this feeling is pure self-created nostalgia.

Alexia and The Professor share a moment.PNG

Just last night while browsing Youtube I came across an old music video from the mid 90s of Sin with Sebastian's "Shut Up (and Sleep with Me)". That came to mind while looking at this screenshot.

... I still can't get that damn song out of my head...

I'm sure it sounds better in-game, but frankly, this just seems incredibly straightforward and senseless.

Just for the record, there are few times when slow walking speed is appreciated. I'd be wary of doing that in the future.

Outside of cutscenes, I feel that there's no real way to justify slow movement speed. This even more so when you're forced to catch up with a character that runs at the speed of light around a square room while you move at a snail's pace.
