I've played this game for an hour so far, definitely reminds me of my first few rpg games. Oh, the good old days! Pretty good balancing, but it requires a little bit of grinding to beat Duke's dad (I was level 10).
I beat Duke's dad around lvl 5, but my desire to play the game was dashed after I went back in time a day and had to walk all the way back across the field to the dungeon where I had to fight Efreet again. I know that there's really nothing that could be done now, but the Otherworld battle theme from FFX skips somewhere in the middle of the song, and overall, though both are .wav files, the songs sounded like they were recorded off of a TV.

The house without a door scares me. Then again, with a population of two for an entire town (what?), it's to be expected.
