Christians are more actually divided than you think. Look at all the millions of branches and their altered bibles, for one.

I wasn't referring to the set of beliefs. I was talking about there being a common pivot point in the local communities to bring people together. If you go to church on Sundays and attend other church events, you're going to learn names and faces of other people doing the same thing.
And unlike most other gatherings, people from all social stratum have a reason to go there. It's not just meeting fellow workers at work, or fellow partiers at parties.
