It's not rain. It's a spike needle jutsu.
If you could see the ninja casting it, you'd know why. But you can't, because he's a ninja.

Did you want to make an RPG/Game? Be honest!
The first half of my reason for entering the RPGMaker realm is that I'm a writer. I need a creative outlet.
The second half is that, deep down, I've always wanted to make video games. Back in the 90s/00s it seemed like an impossible venture. Making video games required huge companies and big finance. So I settled for shooting to become a novelist. But I never successfully wrote more than a chapter of a story. Composing walls of text just wasn't the same.
With the advent of the internet, it became possible to expose my products without relying on cavorting myself to entrenched bricks-and-mortar companies.
So now I'm working on my first real game to share with the world. Yay!

rpg maker on psp?
I haven't been tracking the console evolution in recent years...
But aren't they practically running desktop-like operating systems in the background right now? As in, isn't the Xbox just using a tailored version of Windows while the PS3 is using a very PC-like OS?
The line between console and PC seems to be getting thinner and thinner. It wouldn't surprise me if a future console outright lets us play our old RPGMaker2k games without any sort of modding.

This shot has been improved on in every way I could think of :D
Awesome. This game looks like it's going to be a blast.

What makes a game rate 5 out of 5 stars?
Unfortunately, the entire review process is totally subjective to the reviewer. Most reviewers will simply not award 5 out of 5 because there's always some dopey flaw they see (and really, who doesn't enjoy a game without thinking "this zig could use some zag" once or twice?).
If I were a Reviewing Man, I'd award 5 stars on the basis of "Would I recommend this to friends who aren't into the RM scene?" The kind of game that's so good, it can go outside of our incestuous little community and not be laughed and scoffed at.
