2011 RMN Summer Games

It's going to be the title of my project. You'll see when I get that far.
It was pretty awesome :D

Heartache 101 ~Sour into Sweet~

Taking a page out of the Legionwood tactical exposure manual, eh?

...
I can say "eh". I'm a Canadian, eh.

2011 RMN Summer Games

I had an epiphany at work.
I was thinking about this awesome T-shirt I saw when I visited China and it gave me inspiration. Now the question is, can I complete it in time?
Should've bought the damn thing back when I found it.
Guess I'll be rejoining the rat race on this one.

Phantom's Legacy Redux, an Update

I will now predict the future with stunning accuracy.
But first, let me explain the preceding events that will dictate the course of what is yet to come.

History
1) Users invest time and energy into RMN. Cliques form.
2) Something happens and RMN has a change of direction.
3) One or two people have beef with the new direction.
4) By peer pressure and the nature of discussion, everybody in that group's clique now have beef with RMN.
5) The negative sentiment grows and open flames occur here and there.
6) One or two of the more immature disaffected users cause physical damage to the site. This is their version of slamming the door on the way out.
7) One by one, disaffected users leave the site. They all slam the door on the way out. "Fuck you, RMN. You wronged me. I'm the victim."
8) The disaffected users form a new site with lots of ambition in their hearts.

Now watch the future unravel as...
1) The new site never really goes anywhere. Knee-jerk reactions rarely do.
2) Real Life happens, and members of the disaffected group leave the RM community, thereby leaving the site.
3) The few members left don't really want to look after a site that has no future. They abandon it.
4) They meander back here in a low key fashion. Sometimes they change their alias. They'll also be the first ones to say "The past is the past. Let bygones be bygones."
5) It's cool. Everybody welcomes them back.

If you've seen it on one forum, you've seen it on a dozen.

I had some ideas coming into this but the theme was a game-changer.
I'll think about it at work tomorrow =o

Phantom's Legacy Redux, an Update

More schmup rebellion or whatever?
I'm too new to really grasp what's going on here, but my first impressions are that there's a lot of quitfagging going on because some oldbies don't like this or that. Too bad. Some of you have a lot of talent and I'd hate to not be able to track it down when I start my VG company.

I don't really see any fundamental problems with this site. In fact, it's one of the more dynamic and user friendly RM sites on the web (the rest are all glorified forums).

Of course, maybe you're leaving because you just like meridiandance better and my prior rant is just dumb noob speak =\

I'm gonna be honest and up-front now and say I gave up and went back to my main project.

^That.

I gave it some thought, but ultimately couldn't do it. I forget which side of the brain is artsy, the other logical. Mine is too logical. Way too logical.

Sex in games

Nothing Is Perfect

Wouldn't a game that is a mainstay or cultural/community icon deserve the highest rating for it's contribution to the human fabric?
Goofy as the above sounds, few will argue a perfect score for films like The Godfather, Rocky, The Good The Bad and The Ugly, The Matrix, and G.I.Joe : The Movie. These all contributed greatly to what came after and transcend the individual's "Pacino zigged when he should have zagged" opinion.

But since reviews are done on an individual level, the above doesn't really apply. Cultural appreciation and bestowment of the title "Classic" is something that takes time to sink in.
