Hey, this was a nice surprise! Thanks for the feature! I hope Jimmy is a good ambassador for RMN.

Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass Review

Thanks for your review; I always like to read your thoughts. I don't really want to explain the story; I kind of hate how that kills discussion, and it's pretty patronizing. So, if your takeaway from this is that you're disappointed in me as a writer, then that's valid.

Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass Review

Hey, Starspire, thanks so much for the review! I'm glad you enjoyed it! 100-hour expansion, eh? I'll just...umm...get right on that...

Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass Review

This was great, Frogge! Yeah, battles--they're tough, man. It's hard to balance players feeling rewarded from their skill and planning and the inevitability of players getting frustrated with a difficult battle, so I'm willing to take my lumps on that one. At the end of the day, I'm just happy that you enjoyed this. Seeing people enjoy a game I've worked this long on is like opium for me after working so long essentially in a vacuum. Thanks so much for this review, and thanks for the cute fan art depicting the last five seconds of Lars's life!

Oh, and your use of Super Yesmen as a rating system should revolutionize how ratings are given on this website.

Also, I should say that unity is the first person to notice my A Very Long Rope reference, and she got super bonus points for that.

You know what, over the last three or four months I've been around, I've found the RMN community to, on the whole, be both friendly and helpful.

Yeah, well, screw you, too, buddy.

Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass

Yeah, I went through and checked the other stuff, too, once you pointed that out. I think I was looking at the bonuses in the editor, which read 125%, and I got my wires crossed.

Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass

Yeah, it's supposed to be 25%. Thanks for letting me know!

Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass Review

Paladin's Quest was one of those weird games I picked up when I was a kid and really liked. The weird atmosphere really stuck with me. And, I played through Lennus 2 when it got translated and loved it. What I want to do is take that idea of a hostile world where all your companions are mercenaries with their own goals and really expand on it.

I don't know if it's a classic, Cash, but I'm proud of my little game baby. If you give it a shot, I hope you enjoy it!

Jimmy and the Pulsating Mass Review

I've got lots of game ideas, but I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do yet. It depends on how well Jimmy does. More broadly, I'm going to try to move towards a new engine (maybe unity). The game I want to do now would be heavily inspired by the short-lived Lennus series; I've been planning out stuff for it in my free time the past few weeks. Hopefully I can make enough money from Jimmy to justify setting out on a new project. It's looking like I'll be able to kind of scrape by, but, I mean, who knows with these things.
