Hello all, my real name is Jeromy. I'm a video game fan in general, but the way that RPG's make you feel sucked in to an alternate world easily make it my favorite genre (given that the story don't suck.) Aside from that I'm a father and a husband and I work my butt of to take care of my family. I love gaming, but family will always come before anything.
My favorite game... wow, that's a tough one. I'll just list a handful that I really enjoyed in no particular order. Only a handful though, there isn't enough space to list them all.

VX Ace battle backgound issue driving me crazy.

I've (quickly) looked through all the pages. I'm quite shocked to see no one has mentioned Dragon Destiny, by Rast.
VX Ace battle backgound issue driving me crazy.
So, I put together my own battle backgrounds. I used the PSP Final Fantasy graphics. Here's the problem, I can set the backgrounds I want just fine when I'm working with a specific dungeon. However, with the world map it loads the RMVX Ace defaults depending on what tile the character is standing on when a random battle pops up. How would I go about having the world map load battle backgrounds of my choosing?

Your @actor_sprites array doesn't have an entry for the character you're adding. I'd guess the code below the unindented stuff (I assume this is new) would rebuild the party array, try moving your for loop so it's after the if @current_party != $game_party.battle_members block.
That didn't work, but I found out the problem was with that new code in general. I guess I'll have to deal with the characters standing up walking even though they have died.

Ok, I'm lost on how to fix this. First, I lined the characters to the right side of the screen to simulate old FF feel. I altered the distance from the characters a bit and the only other thing I did was add a fix for when characters die. After doing that, I get this when I try to add a new character to the party while in battle (which didn't happen till I did the above changes.)
Please help, I can't continue otherwise. Thanks.

Yanfly Visual Battlers script question? Show weapon icon...?
I set the direction of the sprites to face right, like an old school side view battle system. Is there a way to swing the weapon icon for the currently equipped weapon? All it dose no is step forward, then backwards.

I find the term "mooch" to be a strength rather than a weakness.
In that regard, I don't take back any of my comments.
Wow, you're saying it's ok to mooch off of people... you're not right. If someone can do things on their own, you're saying it's ok to just be lazy if someone is willing to let them.
Having to be a mooch and wanting to, are two different things.

I have it good. 3 meals a day, and I even get student loan. I'm happy with what I have. Soon I'll finish study and be able to make my own money. I'm happy my mum and dad make enough to feed my mouth and that they love me enough to keep doing it.
Parents are always (usually) going to want to keep supporting their children. At some point the person needs to break away from that. By having everything handed to you all the time, it really teaches nothing. In your case that's fine, you're going to school. All to often are there lazy people that choose to mooch off their parents when they know damn well they can do it on their own. That's um, what do they call it... oh yeah, growing up.

Right, I agree. It's just the way it sounded from what he typed.
EDIT: I think stated somewhere at the start of this. I have a friend that quit high school and his one job makes a tad more then both mine combined. So I certainly see where he's coming from.

I'm sorry if anyone took this the wrong way.
I meant delinguents, business majors and smart-asses who act like pre-schoolers
and exploit their way through life. They don't deserve to be promoted at all
while I struggled.
That's a bit selfish don't you think. Saying someone don't deserve to better them self because they started out worse then you. I'd say more power to them. That just means they pushed themselves and learned from the mistakes.
