i know you can't nominate commercial games for Misaos, but if i could, i'd nominate "Prayer of the Faithless" for the Not Dead Yet Award. I mean, holy crap, 7 years in the making and it turned out brilliant. What an achievement.
Yeah, I kinda get you. This year has been pretty hard on the Misaos in general, from what I'm seeing. Alas, the most I can do at this point is put it into the Misao thread. At the very least, if we do off-site voting again, I would see it included in the list for "The kentona Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Commercial Excellence".
Does anyone remember RMN? (Remembering RMN)
They had the best welcoming line. XD

Would you happen to know which version of Ace has this error? I re-download Ace after switching computers in May of this year, and that has the lower code.
*Edit: As a point of reference, the "Help"->"About" window reports that I have version 1.02a of Ace.

I hate white mages
Hrm. Lifedrain effects typically apply to the user of said effect, but, it might be interesting to play around with a lifedrain that effects outside that range.
RPG Maker MV - I need suggestion on how to do a skill/magic.
Off the top of my head, I'd run the state removal through the skill properties as normal, and the HP restoration, and state application go through a function.
So, the damage calculation bar might look like...
...whereas the `sacrifice` function, itself, might look like...
...that? I'm looking through MZ's code-base, and taking semi-educated guesses, here. MV's implementation might look similar, though.
*Edit: You might be able to have this kind of effect without calling a plug-in, or script. Like, you might be able to do something like...
...this directly into the damage calculation bar? I've not dabbled in this kind of thing, myself, so, I'll apologize in advance if it doesn't work.

[RMVX ACE] How to change the distance between followers?
My initial guess as to how followers normally move would be the `Game_Follower.chase_preceding_character` function.
So, it kinda looks like a follower starts to move when the distance between said follower, and the preceding character's distance is not 0 from any direction. My other guess is that it could measure that distance in tiles, but, it's certainly possible it measures that distance in pixels.
For followers to be further apart, what I might try first is to alter the conditionals to be something like...
...that? Definitely put the edit into a separate code-page!
My general theory here is test how sensitive the system is to smaller changes. If the distance is measured in tiles, it should be fairly apparent. If it's measured in pixels, you might not be able to make an observable change.
class Game_Follower < Game_Character def chase_preceding_character unless moving? sx = distance_x_from(@preceding_character.x) sy = distance_y_from(@preceding_character.y) if sx != 0 && sy != 0 move_diagonal(sx > 0 ? 4 : 6, sy > 0 ? 8 : 2) elsif sx != 0 move_straight(sx > 0 ? 4 : 6) elsif sy != 0 move_straight(sy > 0 ? 8 : 2) end end end end

Can you actually follow a user?
Not that I am aware of. Probably the closest thing you can do is keep an eye on "Latest downloads" and/or "New and Notable" sections with the site's current functionality.
That said, I have no idea how easy/hard it would be to implement a "subscribe to user" feature. The functionality for the subscription section of your account to keep track of what specific posts you've saved was implemented a number of years ago I think? I kinda get the sense that the functionality to subscribe to specific users might be similar, but, I also have no idea.

[RMMZ] [RMMV] [RMVX ACE] [RMVX] [RMXP] [RM2K3] [RM2K] What recent games should I check out. Ples send!
I've seen you post on gamepages where the creator hasn't been seen (or posted) in ages, yet still post "corrections" for god-knows-why. I suppose the dev could return one day to apply said corrections, but, you'll have to forgive me for thinking that they will not. Though, I do respect your interaction with Might and Magic TsuK.
More to the thread's point, if you haven't played either Luxaren Allure or Weird and Unfortunate Things are Happening, I would highly, highly suggest those games. From my own games, I would suggest Myriad Cypher, Okiku, Star Apprentice, and maybe the "Matsumori" series (ie: Matsumori Days, Arbiters From Another World, Konae's Investigations).
