When the mood strikes! (and leaves for vacation again)
Heh, thanks for the replies! ^^
Personally I am in that kind of funk where you have ideas for other games, but are also aware of how much work it would be to complete them! ^^
I want to focus on finishing my main project but, I don't have the right ideas to really drive the plot. =w= *lol*

@Blindmind: Wow, that sure is one crazy detailed tileset..? ^^ There's a lot going on, reminds me of.. I dunnow... a specific SNES game...
@Lotus: That's nice and lovely, I can see that work as a game or online game. ( The character is not quite the fastest runner tho, eh? ^^ Maybe you can level this ability up? )
@Josephseraph: Ah! You know what yours reminds me of? Sega Master System or Genesis RPGs.. ^^ Because of the colors and edges.

The Mysterious Wonderland of Alicia-chan
Thank you for your interest, and playing!
Thanks; oh, but - that IS a bug I never encountered! ^^ Very unusual - I know of a similar glitch tho, that makes you invisible when you play as blonde Alice, press the action button and directional button at once, in a very certain way ^^;
To reappear, you just have to press the action button again. I admit, it's weird tho...

I've played for about 15 minutes, and I must say, this is a really charming and fun game! There are tons of great little touches in it. Very well done ^_^
I think I may have found a bug: I noticed that once I got chased by the face in the garden, I became invisible, and didn't reappear until I got cut by the scissors on the next screen.

Video Game Confessions
In Final Fantasy 7, at the scene where Tifa is standing on that XXL Mako-Cannon with that other Lady, bitchslapping one another, I was kinda shit-scared if I was even doing it right, cause I didn't want to die there XD...
But, until this Day I still don't know if it is even possible to die at that scene... ^^ (dunnow if that counts, it's more of a 'feel' thing, I know...)

When the mood strikes! (and leaves for vacation again)
So you watched an exciting, great movie or played an inspiring, well made game - and suddenly ~ you totally get an idea for a game, and/or even feel the urge to start up the old RPGmaker (or other game making tool of choice ) to turn your idea into reality. It's when the mood strikes you, to be creative and start something awesome!
But then, sooner or later, the creative mood is actually gone - where did it go? Wherever it went, it made room for a different old friend: lazyness! More of an annoying friend tho, eh?
The problem is when the creative mood leaves before you got anywhere decent with the game. : )
I think most people know those creative mood swings - and the longer / more complex the project the more probable they are to happen.
Then, I think, all that helps is a committed and creative development team that is eager to finish the project, working towards the same goal together. : )
Anyway, how persistent are those situations with you, and what do you do to counter them?

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!
@GoatBoy
Ah, it probably wasn't.
But, guess it Is now. : )
But yeah that collaborative map-making thing is interesting - like making a world that features everyone's own mini land or country. But the organizer has the most work to do, butting all submissions together, the correct way, so that they can be played... ^^

@NebelSoft: If it's not to much trouble to ask, how do you go about finding artists for your project? I'm curious, because I'm having to do the same thing :3
Ah,.. well just try a simple and common creativity platform like deviantart.
Once you hang out there, you stumble across very professional and experienced artists from time to time - you check their profiles and portfolio, see if they are open for commission, and if their price level is in the range of what you are willing to invest / pay for good art. : )
Then you compare art styles / artist's experience levels* and prices until you think you found the right artist and just sent him a friendly note, with some information on your project.
As far as I can tell, artists from Thailand often have a nice skill / price rate - ( because of the currency exchange rate ) And many Thai artists have a great feel for style / colors and high quality illustration art. But that might just be my imagination. ^^
A fair price I personally can afford to invest for a character-illustration (maybe half body, or cute full body) would be around 30 USD$. (Not that I'm greedy, I'm just not too wealthy myself ^^; )
Anyway, just be honest, tell them that it's for a game and if it's commercial or non-commercial. : )
* this is a bit of a tricky one - even if an artist has brilliant art in their gallery, doesn't always mean they can draw what you want exactly how you envisioned it, especially if they are inexperienced - or - what you request is not what they are used to draw... So it might be a good idea to check if they already have a commission in their commission folder (or wherever) that already looks very similar to what you want.
