The undead are among us,
at dawn they shrink back to their silken beds.
They dance by night

FF7 took RPGs into the realm of 3D in an important way that mirrors what OoT did for the zelda series. (Although I still think FF6>FF7) To translate a successful 2d game (LttP, Mario) into OoT and Mario 64, and get it 'right' on the first try is a remarkable feat that deserves the celebration that those games received.
qft and all that, although I'd say that FF7 did an incredible job too and (probably as would be logical) had a lot more of the spirit of previous FF titles than what would come next in the franchise's further iterations (although yes, it was already creeping in, but you could say that about 6 also to a lesser extent).

Massive congratulations on finishing Deltree, I haven't played this since either ep 1 or 2 was released but I've decided to start a new game now that the full game is done :D

Rogue Squadron and Rogue Leader were both practically the same game as Star Fox 64, but with a tolerable Star Wars plot instead of an idiotic plot about space monkeys all voiced by the same guy making different funny voices.
Save for the short-lived "all range mode" sections which were for some bosses and a handful of levels, Starfox 64 is and on-rails space/flying shooter whereas, unless you count the death star trench run, all of the rogue squadron series was totally free-roaming flight, It's an entirely different gameplay experience (It's like conflating Time Crisis and Goldeneye). Also Starfox 64 and the Rogue series (especially 2 but definitely not 3) are some of my favorite games of all time :<
Also there is only one submarine level in the whole of SF64.
I haven't played Assault but I'd like to if it's not shitty.
Also interestingly enough, Starfox 64 is called "Lylat Wars" in this country.
I don't usually bash kickstarters, but...
17/07/12 - Inventory System

Working on the inventory system and gonna have to draw 100+ item pics :(
I feel your pain :P
Just a rambling suggestion but... perhaps you could have two (or more) tiers of damage and coverage would simply determine the odds of taking a worse or better damage tier.
For example, if you had equipment on 5/6 areas then you would have a 1/6 chance of taking full damage when the damage is calculated. You could even weight enemy "AI" so that some enemies go for certain areas more often than others, say, for dogs it would be wise to protect the legs and arms more as they can reach them more easily? Human zombies go for the head/neck more often than elsewhere? That sort of thing.
I think it'd be pretty cool and not too complicated to implement (at least, I think so?), just have one "roll" for which area of the body is being targeted (weighted by "enemy AI") and then another "roll" using the stats of the armor on that part and the enemy's attack power to calculate the damage to the player.
Also, nice to see you're still working on this :>
