Boss Battle Design Contest - Knowledge is Power
author=Cozzer
I already said so in my comments, but I'll say it again because it has ruined several entries for me: please don't use ATBs for these kind of contests! It's one thing in a whole game, when you get your characters and your skills one by one, and by the time you get to the really hard bosses selecting them is second nature; it's another thing entirely when you get like 30 options and you can't take the time to look at them, think, confront them or anything because the enemies are killing you. :(
RM2k3 doesn't give you a choice. It does have wait/ATB mode which is why I decided to not have it immediately start with a battle. I gave players the chance to open the menu and look at the characters skillset first and set it to wait. I had only 5 skills per character which were clearly labelled, since I knew it'd become an issue if I threw too much at once.
I don't disagree too much and I hate ATB too, but again, RM2k3 doesn't have another option so all RM2k3 users had to deal with this by default.

Let's Fail
hahaha. Yeah you CHEATERS just going around and breakin' my game!
Well at least the part you played (other than having power items) was pretty accurate to how the newer version was like, with exception of the intro.

Yeah no default battle system. It works start to end but it's not QUITE working 100%. Still missing shop and Inn events (they don't work yet) and it isn't quite as solid as it is on RM2k3. It can make it much easier for me to display HP though!
Paradise Blue Review
Sounds like a short but useful review! I do agree with you actually, I think I could have done a better job of tying up the plot points and expanding on the characters a bit for the ending instead of how I did it. I half wanted to make an expansion or sequel to PB just to fix up those issues but my projects have me a bit busy lately. Still something I do want to keep in mind.
Either way, I'm glad you had fun with it! I will take this into account and thanks again for the review! :D

Let's Play Paradise Blue (Parts 1-3 Redux)
Oh and if you'd really like to change it later (for some reason), variable 37 is for the 1st character gender, 39 for the 2nd, 42 for the 3rd, 44 for the 4th. Just set it to 0 for male, 1 for female.
And then just go to the namingway dudes in town (There's one in the Inn in the first town) and change their names there.

RPG Maker VX or XP?
author=Thorgrim103You can have whatever kind of characters you'd like in VX, size wise or style wise.
As a person who only tried VX, which program is far more user friendly?
Say for instance I want a larger character sprite say from Chrono trigger in my game. I can't to my knowledge use anything other than square characters in VX. Does Xp offer more support for such things?
I'd have to say VX would likely be the more user friendly one though.
