World Ease of Use: Interactivity and You

Sparkly in my game ruins the immersion, but having enemies pop up out of nowhere and having them wait for you to input your command totally doesn't. Nor does shrugging off meteors. Nor does seeing how much time you have left to escape the dungeon on the top left.

Could be, I don't expect people to follow them all. I do try to also link major updates from the others so you don't have to go checking them all just to see if they've been updated. I just figured if anyone is already on tumblr, they can follow me there. I've seen some people that have them.

No, I have a twitter too. They are for different purposes and uses. Tumblr is my casual one, my own blog is my formal one, this one on RMN is more my release notes/special announcements type, and twitter is my "whatever I have in mind or link updates from blogs" thing.

The hardest one to update is my own blog because I know I'd have to go write a lot.

Paradise Blue Level One Challenge

Haha, nice! I had forgotten that Demi works against the Guardian. I didn't think it was a tough fight anyway but it does have a fair amount of HP.

Interesting to see the magical items being used too, which is nice.

The World Is Made of Paper Review

Not a pause screen, just something to prevent accidentally clicking a choice when you've been clicking to go past onto the next dialogue for a while. Choices are uncommon so I have accidentally made a choice when I didn't mean to.

Hmm, well I try to vary it a bit but I rather like this class group:

Paladin, Fighter, Blue Mage, Summoner

I got Fitzhugh and Tania, for Initial strike and Haste to the party.

Archers are really good for random encounters.
If you have the money for it, Assassins can be really nice. I tend to stay away from abusing $Toss though. They're also nice for big groups too.

I actually like having a Bard/Dancer around, especially for the beginning areas. I'd definitely learn their Sing ability at least.

Paradise Blue

Yeah, I think a really old version of PB had it but I quickly dropped the system. It wasn't implemented well so it didn't even make it to the battle templates in the monster groups. I'm not too much of a fan of the Steal system anyway so I figured I'd just do without and give the Thief some other abilities (Dash, Slash, See Hidden).

There's remains of the system still around in the code but it'd take a lot of work to re-implement it so I'm not likely to do so.

I might get a chart showing what abilities each character uses, think I'll do that soon.
