Updated this section with a new video guide for the Treasure Chest Game! Had a good many players say they struggled with the mini-game, and I wanted to show that it is possible to beat and hopefully help players master the mini-game!
Dragon Quest: Legacy of the Lost
Which crest are you trying to get? Basically, the relic scholar will describe a location in which a new monster has appeared. The locations are always in the past - travel to the location and look for a battle with a monster (it's not a random encounter, this one is a touch encounter).

The dark crest isn't enough to make it through the door. You'll need to upgrade a crest into a pendant (talk with the relic quest npc).
Until I'm able to make a video, this might help you through the treasure game. The red carpet areas are where you can walk.

This game rocks so hard! I am a few hours in and am enjoying it so much! I have never played the original Dragon Quests, so I hope all of the Dragon Quest games are this good!
I'm glad you're enjoying it! I think the game represents the style and quality of Dragon Quest games pretty well, I think you'd enjoy the original ones too. :)
If you like Pokemon type games, I'd strongly encourage Dragon Warrior Monsters I and II, they are awesome!

Doh! I misunderstood what doors you meant. Those doors are involved in the relic technique quest. :)
Hargon is made with Whiteking + Kingslime. If you got Servant by being dishonest, it won't be possible to make him.
@ZarethKnyght:
I apologize the treasure game gave you so much trouble! I promise that there is plenty of time allotted to make it to all chests. I really should make a video, people seem to think the game is either really hard or really easy.

@theshadow:
1. In the top right corner of Erdrichia Forest, as long as the necklace is in your possession, you can find the boss encounter. :)
2. It's in the Allagan Mines lower floor in present time.
3. The Thief's Key will open it.
4. Well, it entirely depends. If you got Dragonkid, breed it with the Dragonkid trainer for Greatdrak so you can make Dracolord. If you got slime, breed it with slime trainer so you can make Hargon.

He is a little squishy, lol!
If an enemy decides to hit Oruba that many times, it'd be pretty hard for him to survive!

The shard you need is in the crystal caverns - rocks don't block every path.
As for those quests you have mentioned, you are right that you can only do one of each. They are the legendary weapon and legendary monster accessory quests.
The slime quest you are almost done with! You'll find that slime in Clearwater Temple.
As for the legendary weapon, it appears you've chosen Ragnarok? Each weapon is really good, but Ragnarok/Gastrophetes are my personal favorites. It seems like you've found the correct beach, but the beach is empty no matter what unless you've heard the old man's story in it's entirety from Erdrich Castle Town. If you go and listen to his tale, the necklace will be there as long as you commit to Ragnarok. You can abandon progress on any legendary weapon though with no hassle.
@MeowMeow:
Will get that to you asap. At a conference all week and been really busy!

It is the final story battle, but there is some post-game content with a few challenges and one really hard battle waiting!

@norman:
The room that represents Quevi? It's the bottom switch, left switch, top and then right I think(not at my comp now to get a pic). Let me know if that helped!
@theshadow:
Meisam is right. When you beat the boss, cast Safestep and run as fast as you can out of the volcsno. It is relatively forgiving, but if you are too slow, the hottest lava (bright red) kills you instantly even with Safestep. I realize this instance lags some computers, with lag, you may not actually see red lava. The spots that become red lava are flashing until it becomes red forever.
If you really struggle, if you PM me your file or email me at bdunbar08@gmail.com, Subject: Dragon Quest, I will alter your file to be past that point.
