Variables - Usefull or not-so-much?
Variables are everything! Or you could just use switches- wait no those are just boolean variables...
They're used for calculations, storing information, making comparisons... and as far as RPG Maker goes, they're really simple.
Give me a second and I'll find you a tutorial, because once you get how to use them a little, the rest about them just kind of falls into place.

It's generally just something I like. But yeah, some people's avatar choices are very telling. Although, not having an avatar at all makes it harder to remember who you are. :(

I just have to accept that the game didn't want me to play it, and that I have a game I'm never going to finish.
Most Important
I only really need one part of the game to be worthwhile, then the other parts only need to be good enough to keep me going. I've played games with shitty gameplay and great stories and thoroughly enjoyed them(I mean I play visual novels), and games with great gameplay and a very weak story(Pokemon). I can't say I've ever played a game for the graphics, but they still go towards the appeal of a game and ultimately whether I enjoy it or not.
Secret/ Super Boss length

Long as the super boss hasn't got 1 million HP.
99,99/100,000 HP should be the maximum. Because basically just a borefest, and making it sure it's a interesting and challenging boss battle.
Mass Paste
You can make the first one, copy it, then use multi-copy, copy both of them, paste them both, multi-copy all 4, paste, multicopy... not perfect but a lot quicker than the other options.

I don't know. I'm not against isometric view, but as a top-down perspective it kind of looks odd.
