Improving Basic Attack and Guard Functionality
Well when you word it like that. fortunately I've not implemented it yet, it's just on paper at the moment. Do you have any ideas on how I could make battles less tedious?
Improving Basic Attack and Guard Functionality
Because no one uses defend anymore. So I'm just trying to get folks to use the defend command, it's like the curative items in Dragon's Dogma. You hardly ever use them, but they're there if you need to get out of a tight spot. And yeah, I guess it is like a second currency. I also forgot to mention that whenever a character attacks there's a chance they'll attack twice, or thrice. I wanted to put my two pence forward because in most RPG games when you gain skills you never use the attack command, and that genuinely keeps me up at night.
Want a lets play of your game?
I wouldn't mind the demo for my game Steel Spirit SaGa getting some exposure if you're not too busy. Though I would like to testplay the demo first to make sure there are no game breaking bugs.
Feel free to be as harsh as you want with your criticism.

It's funny, because when it comes to making Resurrection of the Necromancer I had exactly the same thoughts. So I decided to add AP that you only gain when you attack, AP can be used to buy buy skills and upgrade a characters weapon. I also decided to make MP healing items very very scarce to when you guard you recover MP.
What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
These past couple of weeks I've sunk a lot of hours in to Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen on PC, and I've been playing Lord of the Rings: War in the North with my buddy. Recently I re-installed Crysis to play through that again. Considering that game is how old, it holds up very well even by today's standards.
As for Dragon's Dogma. It's a fun as hell game (though Bitterblack Isle has me tearing my hair out). I was shocked and almost awed when towards the end of the game things started to get all existential on me.

Most real moment in a video game
Spec Ops: The Line. Anyone who has played that game should be able to guess what scene I'm talking about.
So today I was diagnosed with autism. Still not sure what to make of it. I told my friends I'm not too upset by it, but... It is a bit of a shock.
Well thank you for all the positive comments guys. It's kind of been a weird week for me because the UK has been having adverse weather, as in north of the wall, winter is coming kind of weather, so I've been snowed in. And the most dangerous thing to me is myself when left alone for too long, so I've been ruminating on a lot of things this week.

It's not so much a big deal, but I have other mental health problems, so my cpn (community practice nurse) needs to tailor my therapy to accomodate this new development. Luckily no one will try and sell me shit because I live in England and we have the nhs.
And cheesedreams is right. I'm better off knowing than I was not knowing, because I over worry about everything so until yesterday it was eating at me.
