Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

author=LockeZ
I definitely messed up the white borders on the text, but I think a color scheme more like this would work:

Wow. That works really well thank you. What I might do is try a few different colours in that scheme to see if any others work. But if all else fails I'll use that one. Thank you again.

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

Well the title screen does animate. It's a short loop of the necromancer studying. I think what bugs me is the palette of the image doesn't match the palette of the text.

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!

This is a mock up of the title screen for a short project I'm working on while taking a break from Steel Spirit SaGa. I know it's bad, and I'm not happy with it, but I'm mot sure on how to make it better.

[Poll] What is your favorite Final Fantasy game?

Though not technically part of the Final Fantasy series I love Final Fantasy Advenure on the Gameboy (later remade as Sword of Mana and Adventures of Mana on GBA and PS Vita respectively.) It was my first exposure to JRPGs and I still play the original even to this day.

Avoiding stereotypes.

He's not the main character, but he is a playable character. He's a jaded war veteran who joins the party to restore peace for his family. I just don't want him to fall into a stereotype. But one of the points Penta raised (point 2) I have added a more racially diverse cast.

Avoiding stereotypes.

That is really insightful and helpful, thank you very much.

Avoiding stereotypes.

So taking a break from Steel Spirit SaGa. I've decided to work on a short dark fantasy style game. One of the main characters is black, how can I avoid turning him into the stereotypical 'magical negro'? Normally I skirt around the subject of race in my writing to avoid these kind of cliches, but I feel that if I want to advance as a writer I need to tackle this.

What are you thinking about? (game development edition)

I'm having trouble with a game I want to make. It's a remake of an old game I finished years ago (that will NEVER see the light of day.) I've got two iterations of the same story. The first iteration is a science fantasy with religious undertones. And the second iteration is near enough the same story with all the religion and mysticism stripped away leaving a pure sci-fi story.

What superhero would you like to be?

No, I did get the point of Watchmen. But I was talking about having his resourcefulness, strength, and costume rather than his right wing fanaticism and total lack of morality. But I'd kind of understand that if I went onto that side of the law also I'd end up being just as violent, and I might end up enjoying it a little too much.

What superhero would you like to be?

Social Etiquette man. His power is being able to function in social situations without turning into a stuttering, offensive mess. Wait, are we talking about already written super heroes? I'd like to be Rorschach but less smelly. His mask and coat are awesome. As Rorschach I'd probably murder all the sickos, pedophiles and rapists in England. I'd probably get a little too into the murder, though.
