QZPRODUCTIONS'S PROFILE

Just a game dev who primarily uses RPG Maker VX Ace and enjoys writing and composing the most. I love horror games, adventure games, JRPGs, and practically any game with a compelling story.

A brief description of my projects:

Prom Dreams: A High School Love Story (Complete)

A high school dating sim with a dark twist. While you begin the game as a normal teenage boy looking for a date for prom, you'll quickly find yourself in the midst of a bloody, horrific mystery. Gameplay is primarily story and exploration driven, with numerous surprises for those who take their time to explore, with a touch of macabre adventure-style puzzles.

Turovero: The Celestial Tower (Completed)

A traditional JRPG that slowly unfolds into a deeper, darker mystery (I think this is going to become a theme with my games...). Play as four archetypal heroes ascending a mysterious tower to defeat an ancient evil, only for them to find that things aren't quite as they seem. Gameplay is a mixture of dungeon crawling and turn-based battles with plenty of environmental puzzles to solve, as well as a choice-driven narrative with multiple routes and endings.
Turovero: The Celestial ...
A dark fantasy RPG where truth and lies collide and nothing is as it seems.

I absolutely loved this game and was wondering what script did you use for the status menu? With kyle's face and items.

Also what script was used for item menu when interacting with puzzles? and the lighting effects in the hallways etc (windows).

thank you!
Thanks for the kind words and I'm happy you enjoyed the game! For the menu, I used a script by an RPG Maker Central user named pencilcase27, though I can't seem to find the script itself ATM. The key item menu is native to the VX Ace engine and is done through eventing; here's a tutorial on how to use it. Finally, the hallway lighting effects came as a part of the graphics pack I bought; no scripting was needed since I could place the light directly on the map and made it a "star" tile so that it'd go over the player's head. :D Hope that helps!!
Is there any way you can copy and paste the Menu script from Prom dreams project file? I feel so inspired from prom dreams i want to revive my horror project Wilted Flower!

Thanks!

Sorry if im bothering you im just so inspired now xD

Also you have incredible storytelling talent and i commend you!

No problem, I'm glad my game inspired you! :'D

I put up the script here; just be sure to credit pencilcase27 and QZ Productions (since I made some significant edits to the script). <3 Good luck with your game!!

New Feature: The Memory Journal

This looks very well done, I always find it helpful to have features such as this in games. Too often I find myself coming back after a couple days of not having played and being completely lost on what I was just doing.

Glad you like it! I'm having fun writing the entries since they're all written from the main characters' POV, which makes for some... interesting banter as they write all over each other's words :P

Main Character Concept Art

author=Frogge
I didn't, but I like these! :D

I love the descriptions they're really cute

Thanks :>

I had originally only intended for the artists in the project to see these (hence the goofy descriptions) but people then started asking me about doing fanart, sooooo here they are :V

Looks very clean and well done, will most certainly be watching this one. (+1SUB)

Thank you! It helps that I've signed on people who can actually, you know, ART for this game, as that was commonly cited as the weakest part of my first game. |D;; Their talent really helps portray the characters and story more like how I imagined them and less like a middle schooler's Mary Sue/Gary Stu collection :|b

Cool stuff. Did ya make the battler? Either way, whoever did is an awesome artist. :o

The enemy artist is Amy C., as mentioned on the game's summary. I'll let her know you complimented her work, and thank you for the comment! :D
