Ika and Sphere
Sphere uses JavaScript. This compared to C++ is quite similar when it comes to control structures and basic syntax. Python looks a lot different.
Function creation in each language:
JS (sphere)
C++ (or c#, or c)
Python (Ika)
Ruby (RMXP+)
Python may seem more cryptic to new users because of a lack of the semicolon and '{}' brackets. That and scope is defined with a "tab" forcing you to have a clean style or else your code may get screwed up. And in Ruby, the 'def' and the 'end' act as the '{}' in C-like languages.

@tardis, even bush was looking for those people. Look, what did Obama do differently? He doesn't point on a map and say "Look here", the army and it's people do that. They just happened to find these people during Obama's presidency.
Anyways, one thing I hate is inheritance tax. Yes, when a loved one dies, the government will take more than 20%, it used to be 50% of their net worth and leave you with the sometimes non-existent remainder. >:(
Actually, thanks to bush, in 2012 there is no inheritance tax for the entire year, queue end-o-world doomsayers. I want Obama to do one better and remove it completely.

Ika and Sphere
They aren't hard to use. I use sphere myself, and WIP as we all know prefers Ika. I believe they are about the same to use, since they offer about equal abilities and features. This is also true for Verge. These three are the "verge-like" editors.
What's so hard about them is that there is no predefined lists, no RTP's, no battle engine. You have to make everything from scratch. But! It's also more rewarding since there are no limitations. You can code anything you want, supplied you know how to code.
Both editors do have a map engine and a map editor, WIP is the creator of the new Ika editor while I am the creator of the new Sphere editor. And each editor has just about the same features, when it comes to the map engine. (I believe though that WIP's editor allows for scriptable tools).
But for most people, learning how to code can be a long rocky road and with easier makers like the RM* series, and a passion for game design, they will most assuredly switch over.
One thing is for certain, if you use Ika or Sphere, you are prepared for game design in the real world. Because in the real world you aren't working with pre-made systems all of the time, and you are working with code or very technical editors.
Think RMXP without everything and just the Ruby programing language.

This is why I like a book called the Poisonwood Bible. It went over the election of a congonese president in Africa, and in order to keep peace in the region, before anyone was elected they had to make sure nearly 100% of the people voted for a particular dude.
But the thing is, here in America you can win presidency with only a 51%, because that counts as the majority. But, this still doesn't stop the fact that at least half of the united states isn't on good terms with him. So, of course you are going to see flak for things he has done. Our political system allows for that.
If someone like Obama won with about 75% acceptance, then yeah, things would be different. But in the end, he won with something like a 55%, so that's almost half. And half's not good.
(Okay, I know why it had to be 100% in the Congo, it had to do with a coup, or riots and what-not. Our form of it here in the states is political discouragement, polls, peoples opinions and the Media. It's still not deadly, but it's still not encouraging to say the least).

Also, the word "marriage" isn't being misused. It's evolved, just like "gay," "fag," "cool," "sweet," "nigger," etc.
Lolwut! OMGZ it has grown limbs!

If marriage is religious then why do my agnostic, heterosexual family members get it!?
Like I said with gay "marriage", why are non-religious types getting married? This is in the same category.
I believe marriage is strictly religious. Gay or Straight "marriages" should be called something else IMO.
The only fault is, you see, marriage has became such a broad and general term used for the union of a couple, that we tend to forget it's roots, take it for what it has become, and use it in a way that was never intended a long time ago. So, ergo, a gay marriage is really possible, given todays misuse of the word marriage, but a gay matrimony can't technically happen.
Stephen Colbert: The rainbow is gods way of frowning on the gays.
Anyways, about Barack Obama: He seems to throw money at a lot of issues, money that he doesn't have. Look at the politifact website that was linked to on the first page... It's also composed of many small things and not the big things such as national debt or healthcare that he said he would take care of. Obama made some really amazing and truly outstanding claims, the fear here is not doing what he said he'd do. Just because he can keep a promise on a small thing, it doesn't mean he can keep a promise on a large, more important, higher priority thing.
