Forgive me as a respond to the last two pages of images at once.

@orange- wow, what happened there? The new version of your tiles are so much better - I love it. Only thing is your cobblestone floor doesn't quite tile correctly.

@Dookie My favorite screenshot of your game so far, and that's saying a lot considering all your other screens were high quality. The water bothers me a bit. It's the visible vertical lines in the way the water tiles vs the diagonal lines on everything else.

@OzzyTheOne Solid map. Maybe get rid of the thin line of grass between the cobblestone and man-made pond?

@Arcmagik Your maps aren't bad, but are leaning towards the "big and empty" side.

The Interior Entrance to Bargon Castle

The carpet thinning out near the stairs is a bit impractical. Hopefully the carpet maker charged extra for that shape.

First Map of Ceratapin Castle

The big tree in this one feels a bit disconnected because it casts a shadow against the grass, but not against the top of the castle wall.

And this is a personal preference, but I've never been a fan of that style of ground common in parallax mapping. That's not how cobblestone, grass, and dirt interact. It always ends up looking like the first pic someone did after discovering Photoshop can do soft edges on a brush. And the muddy, blended edges of the ground feel out of place with the sharp, clear edges of the tileset pieces.

Wow what unique characters. Looks like a very interesting game!

[RM2K3] Need Some sprite advice

It's totally fine keeping those portraits without animation. The eye blinking is so subtle as it is.

@Konradix that looks much better, especially the second screen with the consistent slope.

Condition Damage and The Great Poison Problem

Yeah, different levels of poison is a good solution too. I considered it first because I already had a system in place that let enemies have different levels of state resistance, which would flow well into a tiered poison system.

It's always tempting to spit out a bunch of small games to test out different combat mechanics.

@SgtMettool - looks pretty good!

@Cap It's supposed to be a mustache... Every great hero needs a mustache!

I thought it was the guy's mouth too. Even after reading it's a mustache, I still see the mouth.

@hyper99999 those animations add so much charm to the battle. The motions feel so fluid despite the small number of frames. Great work :)

I WAS JUST ABOUT TO SAY THAT also I love love that honeycomb entrance so nice

Thanks! I was stuck for a while on that honeycomb entrance. I knew I wanted a royal cave for the queen bee, just had no idea what it would look like. Now I need to figure out what the inside looks like.

Been working on the first new set of maps since the demo release. It feels good to get back to mapping after so much time on polish and bug fixes.

This one's a forest on the outskirts of town.

Those crystals in the first pic are for a minigame, so their placement is more mechanical than aesthetic.
