An XP scripting question (Help me improve my game)

A friend of mine on the forum has pointed out that I should hide the game's hud during certain story events to improve immersion. I've been trying to figure out how to do so but just haven't been able.

The script I'm using is part of the:
Tons of Add-ons by Blizzard
Version: 5.40b

Specifically I'm using:
Blizz-Art lagless HUD by Blizzard
Version: 1.3b

Here's a link to the script (technically its a newer version but that's all I could find to link to I'm sure it's still basically the same)
http://forum.chaos-project.com/index.php?topic=105.0

So, basically I want to be able to turn the hud off and on in game. Your help would be very appreciated. If you can solve this for me I'll put your username in the game credits if you'd like.

I know that there is a script button within the event commands menu but my attempts to use that haven't worked. I just don't know enough about scripting to do this on my own.

What Super Hero Movie do you most want to see?

My 1st pick would be Black Panther. I first learned about him while watching a cartoon about him on Netflix. He's one of very few African super heroes out there and you all know I'm really into Africa so this was an obvious pic for me. Plus, we haven't had a black Marvel superhero since the Blade trilogy. Pretty sure that was way back in the 90s
Here's the intro to the show if you are interested.

My 2nd choice is a very close second, Wonder Woman. They gotta make a Wonder Woman movie. I don't think I need to explain her right? Anyway, the only reason she isn't my 1st choice is because there are so many people already talking about how she deserves a movie already.
Here's a fan film that was done recently that looks pretty good. Although I'd prefer the real film to be more colorful than this.

So what would you like to see as the next comic book movie?
Or, maybe you are sick of comic book movies. That's fine too.

An idea I had for a Pokemon game

The only Pokemon games I ever finished was Blue and Yellow version but I do know a bit about how the series has progressed and months ago when X and Y released I saw that the main character seemed to live in a very wealthy area.
So, I thought maybe they should do a Pokemon game that's the exact opposite where you play a kid who grew up in a ghetto and instead of a goal of beating the elite four his goal is to open up his own gym which could bring tourism and commerce to his neighborhood. The game would basically focus on raising money for the poor through the use of your pokemon.
Let me know if you like or hate the idea.

A Global Warming video game

Has anyone ever made a global warming video game?
I already found the answer to the first part of this question.
How do you think a global warming game should play?

Idea icon

When a cartoon character get's an idea sometimes they get a little light bulb over there head. I haven't seen this iconography used in a while. I'm wondering if it were used in a modern cartoon, game, or etc. would the incandescent bulb be replaced with a fluorescent bulb or do you think the old icon will stay the same? Personally, I think it should change with the times.

Whats your favorite gibberish

Felt like posting something goofy.
So tell me what's your favorite gibberish or mumbo jumbo (fun fact the term mumbo jumbo has an African origin)

It can be from of movie, tv show, book, game or even your own made up word whatever it's all good.

One of my favorites is the voices of the Piantas from Mario Sunshine every noise they make is awesome. There is this one thing some of them say that sound like "Dahehe hom dehehe" puts a smile on my face every time.

R.I.P. H. R. Giger

H. R. Giger died a couple of days ago.
He's the artist who designed the aliens for the film "Alien"
"Alien" went on to inspire many other sci-fi movies and videogames.
Contra and most notably Metroid would not be the same without H. R. Giger.
The man changed the look of sci-fi.

Thank you everyone at rpgmaker.net

I'm not new here I just wasn't sure where to put this.

I've been working on my game for 6 long years. I can't thank you enough for accepting my game and putting it on the front page. I also want to thank everyone for helping me out with random questions I've posted. You've all been very supportive. Thank you.

Just so you know I actual thanked the website's community in my game's credits because you really did help a lot.

The fact that the thing I've worked on for so many years is finally online and people are playing it is so amazing to me.
I'm so grateful. Thank you so much.

Screen shots Less = More?

Is it better to have only a small number of screenshots or is it better to have more.
I"m wondering if I should add more screen shots because I do have other interesting scenes I could show off but would adding those deter from the impact of those main four that I chose?

Also I'm thinking of adding the title screen which shows the main character and possibly having that replace the image that is being used as the game's icon right now.

What are your thoughts on how to deal with screen shots.

Popular Games

How does one effectively get the word out about their game?

How do games like Pom Gets Wi-Fi get so popular? (I don't mean that in a bad way, just so you know I think that game is great.) I'm sure the fact that Lucahjin did a Lets Play of Pom Gets Wi-Fi had to help its fame but surely for her to play it, the game must have already had some good notoriety. So, besides the fact that its a fun and unique game, how did it get so successful?

Basically I just want some tips on this sort of thing.

Thanks in advance.
