What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
We feel the same way. I was mixed about the story beforehand, but just about the entire thing crumbles into dust at the speed of light.
as soon as Ivar wuts the lance awake and ruins everything because jokes?
Not to mention, all of the villains were lame, Gaius, Nachtigal, etc, and I was hoping for a redemption of that in the final act, but then McGriddle or whatever his name is an alien villain bent on world domination? Excuse me, EXCUSE ME, THIS IS NOT HOW IT WORKS
Also there's the whole thing about this reading like a bad version of Tales of Symphonia.

I just hit act three in Tales of Xillia, and I'm not impressed at all. That shit with the lance was the fucking dumbest plot twist I've seen in recent memory. The game keeps getting more and more disappointing by the second and then pulls THAT out it's ass?
Luckily I stopped caring about the story right around when the game did. I'm finishing it for the sake of finishing it at the moment.

My first swig of pop in almost eight whole years – and it tastes ever so sweet
I have soda every now and then. I kicked it a while back for similar weight loss reasons, but due to my new work in Alberta that point is null- you lose weight regardless of what you're doing up there, about 1 or 2 pounds a turnaround.
Alas, I hit the bad diet pretty hard during Christmas break for obvious reasons, so I need to start cutting back and weightlifting again.

I think that the feeling of "accomplishing nothing" is because we are not looking at the big picture.
For example a good thing i learned was to write the date on sketches. Don't just toss them, pile them (i'm talking about paper here) and make sure to keep them stored, and organized by date.
When the time comes and you feel like you aren't progressing at all, take a look at the history of your own work. You will find that the more you try, the better you get at doing it. Some times, one of those "previous failures" will give you a idea for your current work.
This, this. I keep all of my sketches around, from the time that I was only 6 years old to now. I've frequently made use of previously "meaningless" (ie not connected with any game/character) sketches in a lot of my projects. All it takes is to go back and see it, and then realize that it'd work perfectly for something you need.
I'd say to do it with pretty much everything you create, games and all. I regret deleting 90% of the vaporprojects that I've started, because every now and then I get that nostalgic urge to go look at them and I can't.

Trying to finish Tales of Xillia before I go back to work so I don't "lose touch" with the game. I'd rather not mess it up like that. I'm about 8 or 9 hours into it, and I'm really enjoying it. The way they updated the classic Tales formula with the recipes, skills, shops and such is brilliant.
Also, I just got the Aviators attachment and now my entire party is wearing them. No regrets 2014.

Everything you do is experience gained, whether you feel like it is or not. As long as you're legitimately trying, you're gonna slowly get better in the grand scheme of things.
I don't consider all of the vaporware projects I've started and abandoned to be failures, or wasted time. I slowly got better at mapping, art, and even a little bit better at writing and gameplay design. Over time I grew to know more and more about my creative process, and my preferences when creating and refining things.
I feel you, but don't think that your work is pointless just cause you ended up being dissatisfied with it. If you only feel like working on one thing and can't get it right, then take a break.

What's an RPG Visual Novel???
author=Isrieriauthor=ShinanCorrect.
It's another name for a Final Fantasy game.
The worst thing is that the new ones aren't even good books.
Looking back on my 2013 resolution of mor gaem mak, I realize I have failed. Maybe 2014 will be better?
Safe to use high volumes of money through Paypal?
Oh, I'm a frequent user of Paypal as well. I was just nervous about that "negative space" between transferring the money and having it appear on Paypal (Since I don't own a credit card- I transfer from a Canadian bank account which takes fucking ages).
It's safe anyways, and the fact that the money is only gonna be there for a few hours at most before I make the purchase makes it a small issue at best. I just wanted to know if anyone ever had problems with it before.

Safe to use high volumes of money through Paypal?
Hey guys. I'm about to buy a custom built computer online, and I was wondering if it's entirely safe and reliable to pay for something so expensive through Paypal. I can imagine that the answer is "yes, you idiot" but I want to be as sure as possible, since I'm admittedly nervous about buying something over 3 grand online.
