What do you do for a living?

I've done everything from working at a nuclear plant to daycare teacher. Right now I'm studying to be a windpower technician, before that I worked as a taxi driver for a couple of year, which really helped up my probably below average social skills.

I thought about buying the game a couple of weeks after release, actually, but judging by the reception, I don't think I will. It seems to be a big downgrade from what was promised. Oh well, I wasn't that hyped, anyway.

We need to talk about the fan games here after what happened to the Metroid 2 Project

You're really giving them way too much credit. I doubt Nintendo have people scanning the internet like you think, especially people that allow some nobody to release a copy of their game, and then shut it down. The Japanese are VERY strict about copyright, so I doubt they are actually happy about people "stealing their stuff". The truth is probably that they only got to know about it after it got some fame, and only then made an effort to shut it down.

Oh, that sucks. Shows you shouldn't trust unknown companies like that too much.

I'ma repeat what I'm p. sure I said here before it died for a while: If your game's experience can be reasonably copied by not playing it but watching someone else, then it is in the wrong medium and should probably be a movie instead.

This is a bit of a weird statement. Wouldn't this effectively make ALOT of RPGs on this site better if they were made into movies instead?

How do you manage to release a game before the maker does, especially small indie games? I mean wouldn't the completed game be on the computer of the owner, so you'd have to have access to that computer somehow to get it from them?
I don't see how they managed that unless the owner was really careless.

I got the same offer, and I got similar offers in the past, although I don't remember if it was from the same guy. I would just ignore them. I mean why would you give him 10% for basically clicking a button, which is all you need to do to get the game on steam. The fact that steam takes "30-40%" seems like bullshit too, although I haven't really checked how much steam takes.

Thanks.
I would make that blinking less seizure inducing. I've had people complain for less, so I'd imagine those would be a problem.

Going to put in for an overnight clerk job at a hotel and hope I land it. I need the cash. Being broke and having hobbies that cost dosh really bums me out. XD

And I quote from RENT: "Zoom in on my empty wallet".

Make games. It totally doesn't cost (much) money and eats up all your free time, leaving you with no time to spend on expensive hobbies.
