RPG Maker developers who went on to produce games professionally
author=dethmetalauthor=StarSkippThis in in XP?! Incredible!
There was a promising game called Remothered by Chris Darril that was hosted on RMN a few years back before vanishing into the void. He apparently worked on NightCry and is only now starting up his prior project again.
It looked way ahead of it's time in terms of what rpgmaker developers were capable of, especially as it was being developed in XP at the time.
Well it's back again. Kinda annoying that he keeps erasing every single mention of the previous game or taking videos down from youtube. I prefer the XP version to be honest =/
What do you like or dislike about RM Horror games?
I don't actually remember any RM horror games that had a jump scare for the last year or so. The go completely psychological route has been hammered into developer brains for eons now, it's practically a virtual rule in 101 game design. How many times do I have to find out that "I ate my sister?" and the whole game is a physical manifestation of my guilty conscience? Can we go back to simpler times where there's giant aliens stalking me on my space freighter?

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
I'm liking Resident evil 7 so far. My playthrough is 40 minutes atm, it's definitely a return to form from what I've seen. Saying that though, avoid the spoiler free reviews, they're actually quite spoilery =/

A Halloween Horror
@Irog No worries! It was more of a observation for the event in general, honestly don't recall most of it... Wow, October was almost three months ago D:

That said, you probably shouldn't have updated the original download after the event ended. If you wanted to upload an updated version of the game, you should've made a new download so that the contest version would remain available.
Yeah that was a common problem throughout the competition. Some of the judges were a few days late in downloading and we all ended up playing different versions of the same game. It was mostly bug fixes and added dialogue here or there though, so it wasn't too problematic. Best to keep the contest version separate in future.
