I'm going to make something clear one and for all. All changes, bugs, request must be post on my forums if you want me to look at it. I'm have a pretty energy consuming job that that takes almost 60 hours a week from me. So I don't have time to look on all boards. That's why there is a forum so that I have all the things in a central place.

If you don't want to register or post on my boards fine, but then I don't help you it is as simple as that. Posting on the boards has also benefits because there is a shitload of information about the game available when you're stuck. So if you want to get something done from me post it on the boards it is as simple as that.

Well, as far as menus go, it's the whole layout! Circling between characters takes too long, and the fact you have to position the cursors over the arrows at the bottom is annoying, and the fact you can't cancel out with X. The cursor moves too slow too.

As for the text, 1: there's way too much of it. 2: It lacks any real character, beyond horrible cliches. 3: it is drowning in errors. 4: The entire starting scene gives no control to the player for the text. 5: You just load on tonnes of exposition in some bits instead of easing it in to the story.

Honestly, if you can't get any information worth using out of my earlier post, then you need to work on your ability to take criticisms because I said it all up there.

Ok, I look to solve some of these things you posted.

Why? They were my honest thoughts! I was frustrated because I knew that if I'd sat through a few hours of the game, it might start showing its true potential. But there was no way I was sitting through hours of spelling mistakes and poor coding that made navigating menus slow and painful. Everything about the game was so poor and drawn out, and I had no interest in investing that much time in something that could fall flat.

The game, as it is, is a mess and I'm having difficulty seeing how someone could objectively say otherwise.
It's true that you can give your opinion of course. And even negative opinions are of course welcome. But take care that you also give points to repair or to improve my game so that it becomes better. That you don't like my game is not something I can do anything with. But if you can tell me what in your opinion needs to be done I can look if it can be realized ;)
Well, I covered everything I didn't like in my first post.

Uggh... I tried my hardest to enjoy this, I really did. But after like an hour long opening cutscene(not an exaggeration) with bad grammar and poor writing, in which I didn't even get to advance the text (which moved at snail pace as a result) I get plonked into a random world, forced to read about 20 boxes of exposition, followed by another drawn out cutscene, followed by a drawn out tutorial which had the option to be skipped, but not to just watch specific parts(As in, I wanted the tutorial on summons and orb magic but I had to sit through the battle tutorial and item tutorial first which took way longer than they should have) only to then see that the orb menu was ridiculously slow to navigate, then to have the tutorial glitch out and say I hadn't read part of it when I had. If you try and say the rest of the game is better then you're wasting your breath because I know it is(7 years of production is a long time to learn) but I'm not sitting through 20 hours of shit to get to 30 hours of meh followed by 40 hours of legitimately good gameplay. You spent 7 years on this; I think you have enough dedication to clean this shit up so people will actually play it!

(PS All of of your graphics clash and the facesets are all horrible and in completely different styles.)

I was more talking about how you think that it might be better, if you are talking about slow menu's for an example what are the things that make it slow for you, is the cursor speed, the spell appearences etc.

It seems that the 1.1B patch file link is inaccessible.

Well we are already on patch 1.8 right now and 1.9 to be release this weekend or next week so you don't need it. You can upgrade most versions with that patch too so. And if not you can reinstall 1.0 and then aply the newest patch. All patches work always with the 1.0 version and upgrade all changes till 1.8.

Soon a new patch 1.9 will come out wich fixes some late game issues. if you did find bugs please post them a.s.a.p. on my forums so that I can solve those for 1.9 as well.

I don't like the real time photos with snes characters in it. But that could be also a taste matter.

Final Tear 1

post=208679
Ha ha, yeah, I kind of right. Though, the first part of the game is RTP, and was preparing to complain why the game was locked in the first place.

Final Tear 1 is harder than part 3 in in the beginning, the first enemies and bosses in Final Tear 3 are reall child splay. You just need to master the battle system and use it efficiently and you're fine. Final tear 1 is very hard in the beginning, the second boss Ifrit is kinda unforgiving if you are not good in the game. Final Tear 1 bosses are still pretty hard but they die also very quick and with a bit of training they are pretty beatable. The last boss however is a bit harder.

Final Tear 3, might be harder in a whole but you have thousands of training combination possible so its quite easily resolved with training. But I do think Final Tear 3 has the hardest secret bosses and the hardest puzzles.

Final Tear 2 (which will come out again on November) is the hardest when it comes to bosses. Especially the last boss is insane. But most puzzles are really push-overs. The game is now being rebalanced as we speak and you can now less rely on the magic system as before.

Bosses are becoming harder and random encounters are simplified. As well that the magic system will cost you less MP than before but magic items become more expensive.

Ok... I'll tell it even here, after becomin' an addicted of this game.

I'VE COMPLETED IT... 145 hours of gameplay in Hard Mode.

As I think about a review, I have to say that this game is the most challenging free RPG ever. Usually I don't like fighting a lot, but here I wanted to train again and again, just to be there for an hour more.

Super_Stunner... you made a real masterpiece, but I've said you a lot of times :D

Thx, I would like to add that it took him around 100 hours to beat the game and around 145 to complete the game.

Seeing that you just started this game, I I would really like to advise you not to use RTP graphics, most people are not interested in that kinds of games and it makes your game not unique. Also good mapping is like an inventation card, if people don't like that they don't even bother (no matter how good the rest of your game is). It's sad but it's true :(.
