Review Vote Guidelines
1/1.5 - so horribile I will not mention it. No one would like this trash.
2/2.5 - bad but with some good qualities or good
but with many bad flaws. Could have been worse and some people may like it anyway.
3/3.5 - from decent to good games. This is what I normally expect: entertainment. Some people may like it more, others less but it's ok!
4/4.5 - exceeded my expectations. These are must play for everyone.
5 - Rpgmaker Nirvana

*NOTE*: event games/jam submissions and other games that were developed in a very short time or with other restrictions get a rating bonus (usually +0,5), you are warned!

Jesse the Fisher Review

author=thesacredlobo
Oh I know you can get lucky and capture it on the first try, but that isn't a reliable way to capture them. I've had runs where I managed to catch one like that after a couple of tries and I've had a few dozen attempts fail in a row. So if you want to capture them effectively it's best to do so after reaching level 12 and learning fish call. And like I said you need to reach that level in order to collect the final bubbling shell for the best ending after beating the demon anyway. So there's little reason to avoid grinding in this one if you want to fully understand the relationship between Jesse and the demon king.

Yes I guess I was just lucky but... it should not be allowed! Lol.
But isn't fish call learned at level 10? Level 12 is to get the final shell (and yeah I got it!). Btw consumables were useless!

YES!!! It's a really cool little game!

Sadly the grind is kind of inescapable to a certain extent in this one since you need to reach level 12 in order to have a solid chance at capturing the Open Angel and you need to be level 12 in order to get the final bubbling shell from the fish with cool hair.

As I wrote I got the Open Angel just selecting capture, and I was at a lower level than 12 (I got the skill later... and was useless to me ofc)

Meganaut's SCP RPG Review

author=Meganaut
Yooo! I'm glad you liked my game! I'm surprised you rated it as highly as you did. Most of SCP RPG I could've done a LOT better.

Well I had fun (except for *two* particular parts... that I probably mentioned, the Ikea and the chase section before it) and it was better than many games I played, surely more than those I rated 3/5!
I also liked the humor and characters!

Here's some fun facts for you though.
The first half of the game was made in 2016, during high school.
I ended up shelving it for other projects.
After finishing a webcomic, I went back and finished SCP RPG just in time for Halloween 2019 (I put it on RPGMaker.net later). I had to stay true to the edgy high schooler humor I had in 2016 while finishing it (hence the swearing).

I'm glad you liked my music! When I was working on this game, I was torn between using random video game music or making my own. Since I was a novice at making music, I decided to make the soundtrack myself, as practice. I commissioned my friend Vi to make 2 songs in the game (The Church and Under-water songs.) Everything else was done by me.

I've had a lot of criticism towards my game, mainly from the bad designs and levels and such. But I'm REALLY surprised people liked this weird mess of a game I cobbled together. I'm hoping to really improve my work with the next project I've been working on-and-off.

Thanks again for checking my game out! Glad you liked it!

Oh well I think at it as a sort of parody of the rpgmaker games (there are many puns about this), nothing that has to be taken seriously, just mindless fun. Also it was pretty original with custom assets and music... but again, main reason was because it was FUN! (AND MAN, THAT ENDING...)

Once Upon the Woods Review

Hello TheRPGmakeraddict!~ Thanks so much for this fun and detailed review for my one map challenge entry! <3 ^_^ Im so glad you enjoyed most of the game despite some of the inconsistencies found, tbh, that witch with the big head really do look out of place, I just thought her sprite ended up cute xD But yeah! Thanks so much once again! Hope you have a great day! ^_^ <3

^_^
Heya! I forgot to mention how beautiful is the pic on this page!
Tall Tales of Fall looks interesting too... anyway nice game, the second battle was quite tough, but I had fun! I liked this two-characters mechanic.

Hi! Thank you for reviewing my game!

Now I am curious about the related one!

Melon Journey Review

author=thesacredlobo
As far as I'm aware the sequel hasn't been released yet. Though you can find a planned release date on Steam for it.

Apparently a demo was released on Discord some years ago

The Itch.io page has also other games not uploaded here:

Melon Journey Review

Well... unexpected and impressive! I just knew that the game was also on steam.

Pity that we did not have Melon 2 because it looked so cool!

Spring Eternal Review

Thank you for the kind and thorough review! I really feel fond of this game, even though development time was short (7 day jam). I'm planning to revisit in the future and make it into the game that I wanted it to be: longer, multiple endings, more variety of weapons, consumable items (bombs) etc. Better gameplay, while still emphasizing the story aspect.

> a question with just ONE selectable answer... did I miss something? Or is that made just for "drama" reasons?
Yes. >_<
I had originally planned for two endings, but ran out of time, and opted to keep the one choice for the drama reasons as you mentioned.

Anyway again, appreciate the review and feedback. See ya around. Cheers!

Yay considering this was made for a jam it was pretty cool. Not too difficult, that's a good thing, and really stylish, and that's another good thing!

Featured game!

Yay congrats! This for making my favourite game you made together with that classic Alvorada do Mal. To be honest I probably was the first to review because I playtested the game and I finished it exactly one day after the official release, BUT because I went through it at high speed.
No grinding, no collecting every item.
And that's great since it's a game that lets you choose your pace isn't it?
An ambitious project, and one of the few that luckily was completed!
