1/1.5 - so horribile I will not mention it. No one would like this trash.
2/2.5 - bad but with some good qualities or good
but with many bad flaws. Could have been worse and some people may like it anyway.
3/3.5 - from decent to good games. This is what I normally expect: entertainment. Some people may like it more, others less but it's ok!
4/4.5 - exceeded my expectations. These are must play for everyone.

Ooo what twist did you think? There are a number of occasions where Chloe is questioning her sanity/perception of reality and I was using the "unreliable narrator" trope as an red herring for the player, I am curious if you thought along the same lines?
yes I agree but also I expected a final revelation in which it explained that SHE went insane and killed everyone while the horror scenario was only a creation of her mind to justify what she did.

Don't worry for making a short game with few dungeons, if the story is cool (as the other rm2k3 games before this one) it'll be a fun experience. Looking forward this one.

They Took My Beloved Review
author=MarmaladeThanks a lot for another great review! During the making of this game, I worried excessively about story elements because it feels as if I had too much I wanted to condense. I'm happy to know it was enjoyable and not too confusing. I'm also especially thrilled that you like it enough to play multiple times! When writing visual novels I'm always concerned if I'm boring the players instead of creating immersion.
One thing I want to point out to help you get other endings is that the three meters from top to bottom are Affection, Sanity, and Health. Actions that remind the Protagonist of her boyfriend increase the Affection meter, for instance. Most endings rely on the final values of those variables. Also, the creatures in the underground maze make sound cues when they move around the rooms and that is pretty much the only way to detect if they're in the next room (you might have to wait for a second or two to hear the footsteps).
Sometime next week I'll be updating the game for an assortment of quality improvements plus posting a written guide/walkthrough, considering some endings might be very tricky to reach without hints.
Oook.. but are thenmeters explained anywhere? I do not remember but it is ok.
Oh yes as endings I got Denial and... Regret? Or was it something else? Dunno anyway defeating the final boss was difficult and I still have to figure out the lock puzzle. So yes I will wait for the walkthrough!

I opened this game like 10 days ago. It was extremely embarrassing. But thank you for the kind review.
You know what? This game made me laugh from the beginning to the end (except the sniping part, I hated that!).

Well yeah, I forgot to mention that I played the first demo from the beginning to the end... BUUUUT the new demo is even better with some fixes and more save slot! So it improved from the first version...

Er... uhm jokes aside the only flaw is that the game is not complete, and yes, it is good as the base concept is both original and interesting, and this is also (for what I experienced so far) very fun to play as I love turn based battles and modern games (where can you find other similar games? I don't know). And I also like the graphic style so ok I am sold so far.
Worth waiting for this one, 'cause I am curious about what happens next!
