I don't consider my penis mutilated any more than I consider my mandibles mutilated (my wisdom teeth were removed) or my esophagus mutilated (tonsils).
I don't either, this is an extremist exaggeration used to make a point, similar to someone who can only post in absolutes ("a more incorrect post was never written and I do not even need to begin to explain why" "this is the most useless post ever" etc.) and you're totally justified in your decision/s seeing as you clearly have a logical grasp on the situation.

All of you, grow up. Including staff. Somebody wanted to have a serious discussion where people might chip in, and lo and behold, he got a few serious responses! I guess we can mock somebody for posting a topic about penises but not for posting a topic where you're sucking somebody's penis for helping with your game

I have a foreskin and I have never once had any of these problems. In fact I've had plenty of STDs due to my adult line of work but none of them were ever in/on my penis. You know why? Because
10 extra seconds in the shower. I really love the idea that uncircumsized penises are disease-magnets but it's just factually incorrect. It kind of reminds me of the VACCINES CAUSE AUTISM! people.
Then ignore it and go about your day, I don't understand what is so difficult about this concept for people

If we don't circumcise our kids, they are at a great risk for infection. Like UTI, gonorrhea, inflamed urethra's (that tube inside the penis that transfers urine) and many more. When a male is not circumcised you can get really nasty growths under the skin (which wont be there if one is circumcised.) Its a much more tedious and difficult task to handle such issues if not circumcised. Not bashing you for what you believe, but really. Its much better (health wise) to get circumcised.

Cleaning your penis on a semi-regular basis will prevent most health issues and it is not difficult to do.

At least you made an accurate statement - 'the vast majority of people who use RPG Maker' - instead of directing your comment toward "the community."
Here's the problem with "the community" statements: Any time you make a statement about THE COMMUNITY, you are alleging that every single individual person who comprises RMN other than yourself is guilty of your perceived sins.
I'd like to reiterate that while I agree there's no need for a reasonably harmless thread to take such twists and turns as to need to be locked, the thread was also pretty pointless to begin with and could have been better expressed in a multitude of other ways. I could easily say "it's too bad that this is the kind of community where people feel that it's valid to post an entire thread praising one person for testplaying 15 minutes of your game" but I don't think it has anything to do with 'this community' so much as the standards I would hold to any community at all. It's hard for me to call this thread's posts "flaming" because I see a lot of it as merely teasing and obvious joking. We all have different butt-hurt thresholds.

I just wish that this community wasn't the kind of place where a thread like this was the kind of thread that had to be locked. You know what I mean? Like, this is not...a bad kind of thread. It's not the kind of thread that should be looked at as disruptive or as "asking for trouble".
You're right, but this is also not a thread that could possibly go anywhere productive. What kind of discussion should have come out of this? A bunch of people also chipping in and praising you? A long, intense, serious discussion about how to appreciate other gamedevs? There's better ways to go about posting a thread that will result in a discussion that is both productive and relevant to game design.
As far as Shinan referencing "shitposts" and "the probability that this thread will go anywhere useful" that's as much on the OP as anybody else. I'm not sure what this thread could have possibly spawned anything other than "welp." and "good for you, you were inspired, yaaaay."

Weapon Damage Type(s)

The WDT is tied to the equipped weapon itself, so no. In theory, we could change the weapon when transformed unbeknownst to the player, but we'd have to copy every weapon in the game multiple times; not very practical for such a slight shift in damage.
I'm almost 100% certain without even looking that you can find an XP script that will let you have an "enchantment" buff that changes weapon damage type (Fire Sword buff: weapon attacks now deal fire damage). All you have to do is give transformations this buff by default~
Alternatively, (I only know VX, so, VX example), find where the combat script checks for "ele_set" for the elements being used in the attack. It'll be something like "push"ing the battler's equipped weapon data into ele_set or another similar array. Simply throw in an ID check (if user == Spar) and a transform check (and Spar Form == Mushroom Witch) and you can then dictate anything you want to happen (erase the ele_set array and change it to his Mushroom Witch attack type).

I kinda think separating Bludgeoning and Blunt Force is weird
I think so too but I can see what they're going for. An even spread of damtype (3/2/2/2/2) where the difference between this two would be one is "Bashing" and one is "Melee/Punching"
